Reunion Diaries

It was the end of the 32nd year of the history of Oakwood High. It was finally the day of the Reunion. The batch of 2011 was going to have a Reunion. It might seem a bit crazy and pretty ancient, but this is what made Oakwood High the prime choice of parents. It provided the best education and never forgot their ex-students.

Aisha was overly excited since early morning. It was the day of the Reunion. She had woken up at 4:00 a.m, and had hardly let her roommate, Jayme close his eyes since then. Poor boy was continuously working till late last night and Aisha's hustling around barely let him doze off, leave alone sleep.

"Ayu, I know you're damn excited but its only 4:00 a.m. why don't you sleep and let me get some sleep too...I'm tired Ayu and I need to get ready for my date...please let me sleep..." Jayme whined.

"No Jay you can't afford to sleep, its our Reunion you know, and I am so freaking excited to meet my best friends, I am exploding with energy and I need you to share some of my energy else I'm gonna die." said Aisha, paying no heed to Jayme's whines.

"But its only 4 Ayu, you aren't going to Reunion at this hour, the ghost in the school is probably asleep too. Why don't you just sleep..." murmured Jayme as he started to doze off.

Aisha started. "I know but Jay-" she looked at Jayme snoring softly and she immediately climbed on the bed and shook him rather violently and frantically, in such force that Jayme screamed so loudly that yells of "Stay quiet!" and "Let us sleep!!" came from the next room.

"AISHA WHAT THE HELL I WAS ABOUT TO DIE, OH MY MY POOR HEART!! GET OFF ME, LET ME CHECK IF MY BODY PARTS ARE ALRIGHT OR HAVE FLOWN OFF!! WHAT THE HELL WHERE IS MY RIB CAGE...oh wait you can't see your rib cage...WHERE IS MY MIDDLE FINGER?! Oh wait its right in position pointing at Ms.Aisha's face!!" yelled Jayme.

"Damn Jay calm down, your yell was splendid!" said Aisha, in between loud laughs.

"Why the fuck are you shaking me like some carbonated drink so early in the morning, keep your energy to yourself child, I'm too saturated for any energy!!" said Jayme, glaring at Aisha as if he was about to swallow her whole.

"You can't afford to sleep Jay, I need someone to keep me company!!" said Aisha with a pout.

"Just call your damn boyfriend!! What is that useless showpiece even there for I don't know, I'm the one you're always annoying damn!!" said Jayme.

"True. I'm calling him!!" said Aisha and she ran off to the bathroom while Jayme sighed in relief and dissolved in dreamland for a good sleep.

Ring!Ring! rang the rose gold Iphone X kept on the rosewood table. A pretty young woman came and picked it up.

"Hello, Anna Leigh speaking. Who is this?" she asked.

"An....do you remember me?" said the voice.

Anna's forehead was marked with line of thoughts. Who was this? Her voice sounded so familiar. Wait...the nickname?! Only two people knew that nickname of hers and they were her best friends.

"Shery.....Sherelyene...is that you?" said Anna, her heart beating faster.

"You remember me!! An...I miss you so much An......there's so much we need to talk about. Are you going to the Reunion?" asked Sherelyene.

Anna's eyes were filled with tears to the brim. "I miss you so much too Shery..and yes I am going. D-do you know any whereabouts of Aisha? I mean, Ayu, I hope you remember her?" croaked Anna out.

"Of course! Who can forget that sweet little angel, after all her terrifying rage DID scare off the mean girls and boys!!" chuckled Sherelyene. Anna laughed slightly too. Sherelyene continued.

"Yes she's coming to the Reunion. You remember Jayme from History class right? Ayu's male bestfriend and the boy Daniella used to have a crush on? Well Ayu and him are roommates. He just called. He said that Ayu had scared the fuck out of him while shaking him to wake up since she had been making rounds of the house since 3:00 a.m. She's damn excited for the Reunion!"

Anna laughed out and ended the conversation with both of them exchanging a friendly goodbye and hung up the phone. She couldn't wait to go to Reunion.
