Hurt

It had hurt.
It was the past, you remember that day clearly.
You were hurt.
At the time, you did not know a worse pain.
Why did it hurt?
Childhood innocence, such a simple thing.

It does hurt.
Now that you're older, you know what true pain is.
You still hurt.
You can still feel the pain you felt that day.
Why does it still hurt?
You aren't a child anymore, your innocence was snatched from your grasp.

It will hurt.
Tendrils of pain will still appear, long after you have grown.
You will hurt.
Do not try to hide it. They see your pain.
When will it not hurt?
It will always hurt. But you'll get used to it, although you do not want to.
