Getting Close To The Gangleader

Chapter 6

When we go over the plan we take our spots and wait for the round to start. When the alarm goes off I give a signal and we stalk towards where the other players are. When we catch sight of them I whistle and that signals them to stop and wait for my signal to shoot. I wait until all three are out in the open to give the signal. We start shooting and they panic as they try to find cover. I signal Gabriel to go and grab their flag while we distract them. He runs off while Aaron and I keep shooting at them. They shoot back and I take cover next to Aaron. I look over to where they are and start shooting. I manage to hit two of them, a guy and a little girl.

"I got it!"

The alarm goes off signaling the end of the round. Gabriel takes off his helmet and comes running at us with the flag still in hand. Aaron and I take our helmets off and smile at Gabriel.

"I got the flag! Did I do a good job?"

"Of course you did. Do you want to have another round or do you want to go eat somewhere? I'll let you choose."

"I wanna play another round! Please."

"Okay, I'll go pay."

"Lizabelle?"

I turn around and gasp when I see Zander and Lizabelle. They were our opponents along with the other person.

"Hi Gabriel, Ana, and whoever you are."

"My name is Aaron."

"So what are you guys doing here?" I look over at Zander to see him already looking at me.

"I decided to take Gabriel out. You know to bond."

"So why did Aaron come?"

"I wanted him to come."

I look over at Lizabelle and smile.

"So Lizabelle what'd you say about a boy vs girl match?"

"Can we Zander?"

"Yeah. Sure."

"Great I'll pay."

"No it's fine I'll-"

"Don't waist your time. I tried paying but like always she ends up getting things done her way."

I go over to pay for another round with Lizabelle and I feel people's eyes on me. When I pay the lady at the register says,

"Aww, your daughter is very beautiful. How old is she?" My eyes widen and I quickly say,

"Oh no, she's not my daughter."

She apologizes and I go back to the arena. I tell Lizabelle the plan and she nods at everything I say.
When we get back Aaron is talking with Gabriel and Zander's on his phone.

"Alright, the round should be starting soon so I think we should go to our spots."

They nod and we each go to our side. I look over at Lizabelle and she give me two thumbs up. I put both thumbs up and look ahead. The alarm goes off and I signal Lizabelle to move forward. She walks forward along with me. We meet up at one point and wait for any movement. I hear a foot scrape the ground and I look in that direction to see Aaron looking around. I aim my gun at him and as I'm about to shoot another gun starts shooting at me. I duck down in time and try to come up with a plan to get Lizabelle across. I get an idea and tell her to follow me. She follows behind me and I tell her,

"I'm going to run across and you're going to walk next to me alright. As soon as we're across you run over there and get their flag. Got it?"

She nods and I wait until their shooting dies down. I signal her to run and we sprint across the area. I shoot in their direction and shoot them a couple of times. When we make it across I whisper 'run' and she quietly starts running. I look over from where I'm at and don't see anything so I move closer and hide behind something. They start shooting and I look over to their base to see that Lizabelle is almost there. I stick my head out and only see Aaron shooting. Where the hell did Zander go?
