The War With Fire

Battle

I did the ash attack on an incoming soldier. He coughed and sputtered before falling to the ground, wheezing as he takes his last breath before the ash clogged his lunges.

I glanced at Ember to see if she saw what I did.

Just then I realized a young Aquatic  apprentice was running around me trying to get static electricity towards the metal objects on me. His plan was to electrocute me. Just as he was going to spray me with water I flicked a flame towards him.

His shirt blossomed with flames. Instead of trying to extinguish the flames, he ran around in circles causing the flames to grow.

I heard a scream coming from my side of the battle. Someone got hurt. It was instinct to go find help but I was in the middle of battle.

  I treated myself to a chuckle as the apprentice was completely in flames. That's my work.

All of a sudden I was flying towards a tree with a little fire to it. I realized an Aquatic woman around 30 has hit me in the back with a cannon load of water causing me to lurch forward towards the tree.

Due to our magical abilities the flames from the tree morphed into hands and caught me. Fire is our friend. We can walk through it. It comes to our aid when we need it most.

I am Blaze. I am a 17 year old boy. I am part of the Spark kingdom and a proud warrior. Well, almost warrior. You need to be 18 to be a full warrior. I have a girlfriend named Ember. This is my first battle ever against the Aquatic kingdom.

Our queen, Queen Blaise, is probably the most beautiful and intelligent queen ever. She had wanted peace with the kingdoms. There are four kingdoms. Spark (fire), Aquatic (water), Breeze (air), and Pine (nature/earth). The allies are Spark and Breeze; Aquatic and Pine.

Well the Aquatic queen, Queen Coral, got greedy and wanted power and land. The first place she went to conquer was the Breeze kingdom. They are the most peaceful kingdom in all the land. She thought they were the weakest target. They might have been but Spark patrol saw what happened, told Blaise, and we came to help.

The Aquatics retreated and since then the war started.

Kingdoms made allies. Fear swept across the land. Battles broke out often. The kingdoms had to learn how to fight and there was no more peace. The Breeze kingdom got strong, only making matters with Queen Coral worse.

And there I am fighting the Aquatics with my life.

Then I heard a scream standing out from the others. It was the scream of someone I knew well.

Ember.

I saw her drowning in a water bowl move. I would explain but seeing her like this knocked the wind out of me. She collapsed on the ground, not a flame in sight to help.

I rushed over to her. Shooting fire around her. It was helping. When I got to her side her killer extinguished the flames. She started struggling again. No!

"Ember! No stay with me! Please!" I cried.

She closed her eyes.

Tears formed in my eyes.

But I was in the middle of a war. I picked her up and carried her away to the base. Flashes of memories danced through my head. Childhood, then battle training, then advanced training into teenage years. I didn't stop until I reached home base.

I plopped her down on the medical bed, stroking her strawberry blonde hair for the last time.

That's it peeps! I had this idea one day and I'm like oh this should be a book!
