'Beep beep beep' the sound rung through the room, breaking the ongoing silence. She rolled over in her bed ignoring the sound. 'Beep beep beep' the alarm repeated once more. She pulled the pillow over her head and groaned, trying her best to drown out the sound. Finally it got to a point where she couldn't handle it and she slammed her hand down on the device, silencing it instantly. Marceline sat up and removed the pillow from her face and began to get started on her new daily routine. Today was the first day at her new school, adventure high. From what she heard it was a nice school with good grade averages. Just what she needed, a school full of nerds and up tight teachers. She sighed to herself, propping herself up from her bed and began to make way to her bathroom. She flashed the light on and entered the small room. First thing she needed was a quick shower to start off her day. It would open up her eyes and have her smelling good. She sat on the edge of the tub and started the shower then exited the room and grabbed a pair of ripped black jeans and a Tommy hilfiger shirt. The girl entered the room and closed the door behind her, thus starting her day.

Marceline exited the bathroom fully clothed and fully bathed while she brushed her teeth quickly. She looked at her appearance in the mirror to see if it looked nice. The shirt suited her frame well and was tucked into her jeans. Marceline spat out the remaining tooth paste in her mouth and rinsed out with water and mouth wash. She looked up from the sink and gave herself a smile in the mirror, her teeth shinning in the reflection. She nodded to herself and quickly grabbed her backpack, phone, and shoes. Marceline raced down the stairs with her belongings and onto the stool under the counter top. Her father looked up at her from the food he was preparing and smiled. "You look good Marceline." she gave a simple thanks and began to get back to work. She tied her shoes, combed her hair, and placed her phone away in a quick minute. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and grabbed a grilled cheese from the plate and stood to her feet. She waved her dad goodbye and exited the house while munching down on the food. The walk was short, not to long for her disliking. Marceline didn't have to walk to school, instead get picked up by the bus, the bus stop being a block away from her home. She continued her walk, munching down on the grilled cheese while she hummed a tune. Hopefully her first day at school wouldn't be as crappy as her first day in her new home. After a few minutes Marceline found herself standing at the bus stop, standing farther away from the group of weirdos. By group of weirdos she meant a group of 4 and of course Bonniebel herself. One kid had curly blonde hair that frayed all over his head. Another had bleached hair and light stubble that fit his face. The other was a girl with long brown haired that swayed when she moved with rainbow highlights. And lastly there was a kid with electric blue hair pulled into a small pony tail. And of course there was Bonnie, standing there looking gorgeous as usual. Her pastel pink hair flowed loosely to her shoulders and her freckles danced along her face. Her circle glasses showed off her pretty eye lashes. And to accompany her already good looks she had on a pair of tight jeans and a pink shirt that hid a necklace. Marcelines eyes stayed glued to her necklace and all her thoughts came to a stop. The golden necklace that lined her neck with a simple rose handing from it was the one Marceline got her. She remembered the day clearly. Marcy had given the girl the necklace on their one year anniversary, but why was she wearing it now? Marceline shook out of her thought and focused on something else. Her insides felt warm knowing the Bonnibel even knew she existed. She watched proudly while the girl laughed as the blonde curly headed boy spoke to her. It made Marcelines chest sting to see that someone other than her could make Bonnibel laugh and be happy. Oh how she wished that was her. Her mind scattered when the familiar sound of a car engine started. Marcy turned her attention towards the bus and sighed, watching as kids began to pile on. She prayed today wouldn't be as bad as yesterday.

The bus halted and came to a stop infront of the school. Students stood to their feet and exited the long yellow bus. Marceline was one of the last few to get off from sitting in the back, but that was only to get a view of Bonnie. She tried everything but the girl still glued to her head. She crammed the thoughts away and hopped off the bus with the rest of the kids. Her eyes slowly roamed around and took in the gaze of the school. The building towarded over all the students who helplessly roamed around like ants. What a great day it was to begin a new school and not know anyone or where your going. 'Geez atleast I had a couple of friends at the old school' Marceline thought. She passed by the groups of friends laughing and the occasional couples making out and somehow managed to make her way into the school. The entrance of the school was wide and lockers lined out against each of the walls. Marcy heaved in a sigh and pulled out her schedule. Her first period teacher was some guy named lemongrab. She laughed at the paper. 'I would've killed myself if my last name was lemongrab' she chuckled once more. She scanned the paper again and found the room number to "Mr.Lemongrab" the math class was almost halfway across the school. Today was gonna be rough. Marceline weaved through the students, trying her best to find the class on her own. She didn't wanna ask for help cause then she'd look like the desperate girl with no friends. Soon the crowds began to clear out of the hallways and into their classes. The bell had rung and Marceline was officially late to her first class, which she still didn't know where it even was. She cursed under her breath and filled into a bathroom. She pushed through the door and made sure to lock it behind her. She's only been at the school about 10 minutes and everything has already gone to shit. She felt like just leaving and going home but she knew she couldn't. Instead the girl pulled out a pack of cigarettes from her back pocket and took one out. She held the stick in her mouth and helplessly searched her pocket for a lighter. She searched her front and back pockets but nothing seemed to show. Today was not her day. She stood in anger and punched one of the bathroom stalls, muttering a curse word. She gripped her hand in pain, leaning against the wall mumbling repeated curse words. It was only to her attention that she was not alone when one of the bathroom stall wound open. Out stepped a tanned girl with curly brown hair and red fire looking highlights at the end. Marceline took in all the girl, her marvelous face, her dancing freckles, her striped red and black shirt that was tucked into her jean shorts secured with a belt. Marceline eyed the girl and she stared back with a grin. She was going to question it with words but the girl beat her to it. "I can see your not having a good day." the girl gave a cheeky grin and moved towards Marceline, leaning against a sink. The girls eyes roamed from Marcelines bruised hands to the cigarette that lay helplessly unlit in the girls fingers. The girl peered back up at Marceline and pulled a red colored lighter from the back of her pocket. "I think you need this more than I do." Marceline marveled at the girl and approached, grabbing the lighter from her hand. This was the act of generosity that Marcy needed on this horrible day. Marcy leaned against the wall and lit the cigarette, taking in a long drag and exhaling slowly. Marceline closed her eyes and enjoyed as the smoke filled her body. She fluttered her eyes open and faced the girl with a smile. "Thanks" Marceline grinned at the girl. The girl chuckled and held out her hand. "No problem, just a person helping out another person." the girl paused "im Phobe" Marcy nodded and shook the girls hand in hers. She was warm. Marceline released her hand and leaned against the wall, taking in another long drag. The girl eyes roamed Marcy and she spoke up. "So uh wanna talk about it?" Marcelines eyes shot open and she nodded at the girl, taking a seat on the sink near the girl. "I've needed someone to vent to for sooo fucking long." the girl smiled. "Its no problem. Go ahead. Speak on." Marceline laughed and began to explain to the girl how much of a "good" time she was having at the moment. "So I literally just moved here yesterday and my dad enrolled me at this school, which mind you my ex attends" the girl gave Marceline a nod and continued to listen. "So I get here and can't find my first class and then the fucking bell rang which made me more upset. I've been upset for a while that not only do I go to school with my ex she's my next door neighbor." the girl gave a hurt hiss face as Marceline continued. "So I was planning on skipping first period, coming in here for a smoke and going out afterwards for another try but I didn't have my lighter. Today has been complete crap so I punched the wall and instantly regretted it." the room fell silent for a bit before the girl spoke again. "You seem like your having a really rough day man cant blame ya." the girl paused and faced Marceline "let me see your schedule real quick." Marceline held the cigarette in her mouth and reached in her pocket and pulled out the schedule. The girl leaned over near Marcy and let her eyes run over the paper. "So we've got second, fourth, and fifth together so when the bell rings I can show you to your second period class and drop you off to the rest. How does that sound?" Marceline chuckled at the girl and removed the cigarette from her mouth. "That sounds great actually. You seem like a pretty cool person and I like that." the girl smirked and held up her finger guns and pointed them at Marcy. "Your not to bad your self there Ms.Abadeer" Marceline laughed at the girl and returned her eye contact. "I literally hate when people call me that" her and the girl both laughed. And for the rest of first period they sat in that bathroom laughing together and getting to know each other.

Bonniebel began to worry once she realised that Marceline wasn't present in the class. And how did she know that? You ask, well its simple. Every year before the first day of school Bonniebel goes through the teachers rosters to see whos in her class. She shouldn't have been so harsh to the girl, she could of at least shown her to her classes. She could see how Marceline wanted to give her a second shot. She even caught her staring at her at the bus stop and on the bus. Guilt began waying down on Bonnie until the door of the classroom swung open. In stepped Marceline and Phobe. Bonniebel knew Phobe from previous encounters on when she dated Finn. Of course Finn was still hung up on her but Phobe moved freely with the wind. Their both still making a commitment to try their relationship again. Mr.King checked Marceline and Phobe from the rosters and placed them by their assigned partners at desk. "Phobe can I have you accompany Flambo at that table." he pointed his crooked finger to the table. Phobe grinned. "And Marceline may I have you seated next to Bonniebel." Both girls tensed at the sentence. There was about three desk missing a person but the teacher had decided to seat Marceline with her. Bonniebel breathed in as the girl approached the two person desk and plopped down on the seat next to Bonnie. The atmosphere around them was awkward and the only thing Bonnie could catch was the reeking smell of cigarettes. One of Marcelines favorites. Her mind payed no attention as Mr.king began to set the rules and what he wanted to accomplish this year, her mind glued to Marceline. She looked like a goddess. Bonnie missed her. Bonniebel pulled out a blank note card from her journal and wrote a small note on it while Marceline gazed off at the teacher blankly. 'You reek of cigarettes' the note stated. Bonnie slipped the note card to Marceline who actually peered down at it. No expression was shown on her face as she wrote down her reply. She slid the note back to Bonnie which read 'You reek of bubblegum' a small smile founds its way to Bonnies face. That was all it took to make her day. To know that Marceline even accepted her presence.
