It was a quiet night, nothing special happening. I sat perched on the edge of a building, and was met up with by Red X. He jumped from the neighboring rooftop and landed behind me.
"Get any requests?" I'd ask, still staring down at the city.
"Nope, you?" He asks, looking down at me. I shake my head and stand up, facing him.
"Nothing, all I've got is from a request I had earlier."
"Lucky you, I didn't get called for anything."
I chuckle then my stomach growls and I place my claws on top of it, looking down.
X snorts, "Hungry?"
"Little bit. Want some pizza? That's kinda what I'm thinking."
"Sounds good, we gonna steal it or actually buy it?" He chuckles as we start walking to the side of the roof and start climbing down the side into an alleyway.
"I think we'll buy it, I got money." I say as I climb a bit and jump down, X doing the same.
"C'mon, that's no fun!" X wines teasingly and I sigh.
"I don't feel like being chased before I eat tonight thank you very much." I sass him a bit as we start walking to a pizza place.
"You sure no one's gonna notice us?" X whispers to me.
"Nah, too many people. Just try and look like everyone else." I whisper back and he nods.
We walk a bit longer, receiving a few glances from police but they never engage us, then make it to the pizza place. We walk in, make our orders, and sit down to wait. X sits slouched and taps his finger on his crossed arms. He groans.
"Ugh c'mon let's go, can't they make it any faster?!" he grumbles.
"Unless you want it half cooked or not at all, then yeah, they could."
"Oh shut up."
I laugh and pull out my phone to play a few games while we waited. 10 minutes later, they call us. I stand up and grab the pizza, then X follows me out.
"Smells good." he states.
"Mhm." I nod in agreement. "We eating at the hideout?"
"Why not."
We start making our way to our little hideout place, making sure we weren't followed, then slip in. I set the pizza down on a table while X grabs some drinks.
"Heads up." he tosses me a soda and I catch it without looking.
"Thanks."
X nods and walks over to the table, grabbing a slice of pizza. He pulls his mask up just over the mouth to eat, but I turn around and face the other way to eat. I lift up my mask and pull my bandana underneath it down, and start eating. No words are said till I pull my mask down after a burp.
*BUUUURRRRRPPP* I pull my mask back up over my face afterward.
"Oh jeez, pardon me."
X chuckles, "Nice one."
I laugh, then receive a request, making a little beep in my helmet and a red light flash.
"Got a request?" X asks after he swallows.
"Yup, this guy's cutting it close too." (As in, I stop taking requests at a certain time.) I start walking to the door and make sure my pistols are fully loaded, which they were.
"Have fun." X waves and takes another bite.
"Thanks, see you later man." I give him a peace sign and put my pistols back as I walk out.
