It's been a few months since I got my cross tattoo, and its healed up great. But it means I'm itching for another tattoo again; they are addicting. If you have tattoos you know that already; but if you don't have any make sure you are prepared to get more than just one. I haven't met anyone that has just one tattoo; I don't know if I will ever meet someone that stuck to just one tattoo. The reason they are so addicting is because when you get a tattoo it releases endorphins into your system; which causes you to be happy and stress free.

In my line of work you get stress added to you every single day you go to work; which means by now I have so much stress built up that it needs to be released. But on the bright side I'm working with Hope tonight, so it's not been too bad. Oh who am I kidding, it's getting to the point to where I need the release of a new tattoo; which makes me wonder what Layla is up to...only one way to find out.

"Hope, what is Layla up to; and is she is coming back anytime soon?"

"I'm not sure when she plans to come back, she is having problems with Alexa right now..." Hope says while continuing to give one of the client's meds.

"Oh...well do you know what's going on?" I have to ask, I'm a curious person; I hope it's nothing bad.

"I'm not sure; she won't talk to me about it." Says Hope

"Oh okay, well if you happen to find out about it will you let me know?"

"I don't think she will actually talk to me about it, but if I find out what's going on I promise I'll let you know." Hope says with a small smile.

I leave it at that. I don't get why Layla deals with Alexa's shit; she deserves a lot better than that. I wonder if she will talk to me about it, but I don't want her to think I'm trying to get into her business. Layla is a pretty cool chick, so she may be okay with me asking her...but at the same time; she could get really pissed off at me for asking. That's not what I want to happen at all, because I would really like to be friends with her. Oh well here goes nothing....

"Hey Layla not trying to pry, but what's going on with you and Alexa?" It takes me a few minutes to grow some balls and send the message to her. Now it's just a waiting game...

A few minutes later I hear my phone go off, and I see its Layla "I haven't really told many people, but she's been cheating and left me for her ex...yeah." I have to read it a couple times, before it finally sinks in.

"That's bullshit Layla, you don't deserve that." I send

"Eh, I'm used to being done dirty... she isn't the first one to do it to me."

"Well I'm here if you ever want to talk..." I don't expect a reply back, and I'm not surprised that I don't get one. She doesn't seem like she wants to talk; and I'm not going to try and force her to talk to me. At least she answered me...I mean it's better than nothing; it's a start. I set my phone down and go back to work, I pray my shift ends soon; I'm ready to go home.

****A few Days later****

We had just gotten the client's to bed; I heard my phone go off about 15 minutes ago. I don't really talk to many people; hell my phone usually never goes off unless its work and I really hope it's not them, I don't think I can handle another double tonight. But I pick up my phone to see the name Layla on my screen....I wonder what she wants. I open the message to see her asking "what's up?"

There is only one way I can respond to her, because let's face it; I don't have much of a life outside of work. "Working, you?" Maybe she wants to talk about what is going on with her and Alexa, but let's face it I don't really like the girl; I think Layla could do much better than her, but something tells me that I probably shouldn't say that to her right now. Plus if she wants to talk about Alexa, I'll let her get it all of her chest if she needs to.

My phone buzzed "Listening to music and talking to you."

"That sounds like fun, how's everything been going with you?

"Good...it's awkward, but I guess that's normal after what happened." She told me.

"I guess so, but you honestly could do so much better than Alexa...just saying" I didn't lie to her, and I hope she isn't mad at me for saying it; but no one deserves to be treated like that, especially her... she seems like a wonderful person and from what little I seen she treated Alexa great. It just makes no sense to me.

"No I couldn't" she says

"Whatever you say Layla, but you are full of shit and you know it. Lol" I can't help but send to her.

After that we ended up talking about anything, and everything we could think of. I began to find out more and more about Layla; and it made me smile. I liked getting to know her, hell I don't believe like it's a strong enough word for it...I loved getting to know her. You can tell she isn't someone that opens up to people easily; neither am I. So it was a bit weird starting out, because she is just one of those people; you feel like you can talk to about anything. It's like she kind of just pulls the words out of you; without you even knowing it's happening. We found out a lot about each other, and she kept me from looking at the clock all night; not to mention she's very understanding about me not being able to text back right away all the time. I have a feeling that this is the start; of a very great friendship.
