Chapter 31- The Turmoil Within

I stuck my tongue out, "I don't care."

I closed the door to my room and jumped on my bed feeling tired. But before I dosed off I checked my email and there sitting in my inbox was an email from the company I had applied for; the advisory job. I quickly clicked it to see that they wanted me to attend an interview on the specified date. I screamed in joy before getting up from my bed and jumping around like a bunny. I couldn't believe I got an interview for the job, I thought I would never get it without any experience but the universe had other plans. I felt happiness as the depressing mood evaporated from me. Once I calmed down I plugged off my laptop and got into my warm cosy bed. I couldn't help but smile as I closed my eyes, the only thought that was floating was 'If I got this job then I won't have to deal with Ethan again!' I sighed in relief before falling asleep.

The next morning I woke up feeling refreshed as I stretched my aching muscles. The event of last night flashed by which brightened my morning, I smiled while getting out of my bed. Well this is the first, I usually feel grumpy in the morning. I skipped out of my bedroom to the kitchen. "What's got you so happy?" Sally asked with her eyebrow raised.

"Oh you know the usual." I shrugged my shoulders, trying to act normal.

Sally took a sip from her mug as she curiously looked me over, "I know what it is. You patched things with Ethan."

As soon as I heard the devil's name my smile turned into a frown. "You had to mention him didn't you?" I scrunched my nose like I could smell something awful, well mentioning Ethan did have that effect on me today.

"Well that's the only thing I could think of." She answered.

"Of course my happiness always has to involve around guys!" I stated sarcastically. "For your information, I have got an interview at 'Communities 4 You' as an advisor." I beamed at her.

"Really? What about working for Ethan?" She asked in confusion.

"Can we try not to mention him every two second? I would like it if you were happy for me!" I folded my arms in annoyance.

"I was just confused that's all, but I am honestly happy for you." Sally hugged me.

"Well I need to get going; I just came here during my lunch break because I left my file in my room." She said as she shrugged her blazer on.

"Is it lunch time already?"

"Yes it is sleepy head, see you later." She blew me a kiss before walking out of the room.

I made myself a cup of tea and buttered some scones that I found in the cupboard. I took my mug and plate to my room thinking I should start preparing for the interview when suddenly my phone went off. I looked at the ID to see Ethan was calling; I ignored the call as I drank my hot tea and stuffed my mouth with scones. After half hour of working on my interview preparations I decided to ring my mother to let her know the news. As soon as I picked up my cell phone I had wished I never did because I had 17 miscall from Ethan and three text messages. I clicked on the first one he sent:

Myra please pick up

Not happening! I clicked on the next one:

Myra I know you are ignoring me but I really need to talk!

He needs to talk, I wonder if something is wrong. I couldn't help but worry so I clicked on the next message:

I shall wait for you the same place I realised I developed my feelings for the woman who is ignoring my calls :)

My heart hammered in my chest as I read the message again to comprehend the hidden meaning. The light bulb in my head suddenly lighted up to let me know Ethan was in Urban woods cause I remember he said that night he realised he had strong feelings for me. I picked up my keys from my bed and walked out of my room when suddenly I stopped. I couldn't go see Ethan with my PJ's on. I quickly went into my room and picked out a nice simple red dress to wear in this nice sunny weather. I brushed my hair in a high pony and glided a pink lipstick on my lips to give me some colour. I slipped into my diamante flip-flops before grabbing my keys and rushing out of the apartment.

Once I was outside the Urban Woods sign I had to stop to catch my breath. I had ran from my apartment to here, thinking if I could have done it last time it must have been easy, but it was not I realised now. Once my breathing calmed down I started to walk through the trees stumbling on little rocks causing me to scrape my arms against the trees. When I saw the clearing ahead I knew I had made it, I don't know where I got the sudden burst of energy but I ran towards it. When the last set of trees were behind me, I looked ahead to see the most shocking scene ever. I felt my mouth open wide as I clutched my chest in shock.

This could not be happening!
