At five o'clock, Ethan emerged from his office showing me his face for the second time that day. I was still annoyed with his behaviour so I didn't acknowledge him as I continued to work like he doesn't exist.

"I want you to finish all these files off before you get off for the night." He demanded. I had already finished the damn files an hour ago, so I opened my mouth and gloated. "I finished them an hour go so I'm sure I'm allowed to leave." I smirked as I stared at my computer screen making sure I didn't look at him.

"I meant I want you to finish these files." He stated as he wacked the files on my desk. I looked down to see three new files sitting on my desk. My shoulders slumped with a heavy heart; I really wanted to get out of here. I didn't utter a word as I picked up one of the new files and started to work. Ethan just walked out of the room like he owned this shit. Okay, yes he did but still he is annoying.

My eyes were feeling heavy and drowsy as I stared at the same word for the last ten minutes. Nothing was going through my head. The words started to blur in front of me so I tried blinking my eyes to try to see clearly but no use; I was tired. I looked up from my work to see it was seven in the evening and no soul was around except for the security. I can't be asked to finish these stupid files so I decided to leave. I shrugged my coat on and picked up my handbag before walking out the office into the dark silent hallway. When I reached outside the building I hollered a taxi to get me home.

As soon as I walked into the apartment, Sally started to bombard me with questions.

"How was it today?"

"Was Ethan all loved up?"

"OMG! Did you guys do the nasty in his office?"

"Wait! Ignore all the other questions did he ask you to be his girlfriend?"

Sally stood there with her eyes shining with excitement and her lips formed a smirk. I rolled my eyes at her behaviour and pushed past as I settled down on the sofa with a thump. "I need ice cream," I muttered to myself. After few seconds in front of me was Sally with a tub of my favourite ice cream, I took the ice-cream from her gratefully. I tug the spoon inside and took it out before licking the spoon letting the mint ice cream melt on my tongue.

"You look stressed." Sally pointed out as she frowned at me curiously.

"You honestly don't want to know, just thinking about it it's giving me a headache." I sighed as I rubbed my temple to sooth my aching pain.

"Just tell me briefly." Sally stated, sitting patiently next to me as she flicked her hair back.

"I'll just sum it up for you." I spoke while playing with the ice cream as I twirled my spoon around the tub. Sally nodded her head. "Ethan's a jerk." I declared.

Sally waited me for to continue but I did not utter another word. "That's it?" She asked in disbelief.

"Yes, that sums it up for you." I nodded my head.

"Did he ask you to be his girlfriend?" She asked.

"No! Even if he asked me I would not be his girlfriend. Never." I stated as I dumped the ice cream tub on the table.

Okay, that was the biggest lie. If he came to my apartment and asked me to be his I would say yes in a heartbeat.

"I just need my sleep, he made me work overtime." I complained. "And I am not going work tomorrow." I said as I started to walk towards my room.

"Why not?"

"I cannot be bothered with Ethan anymore."

Sally rolled her eyes, "I don't believe that."
