PART 1: Kick Off

Our world falls apart when we see Lucy took her last breath. It’s so painful that she’s gone. Where in the cemetery now, taking the last view of Lucy’s face. Every word that the priest speak is equivalent to a heavy tear from our hearts. This is crazy but what can we do, its God choice. I keep on believing that He has a purpose on doing this because it’s too heavy to carry. My back wants to collapse so do my knees. My mind’s flying far away but the agony is still inside us.

I could see her parents cry, cry the agony, cry the hurt and pain seeing their only daughter being bury 6 feet under the ground. Even I myself can’t deny that I’m feeling the same way as they did. Standing next to me, Dace, didn’t even hold his tears back, Martin and the gang’s here too. I could see the sincere tears rolling down from their eyes.

They went home as soon as the ceremony’s done but my feet just can’t able to move and take a step away from Lucy’s.

I felt a smooth hand rubbing my back “Smith, aren’t you coming?” Dace’s smoothly talk to me like handling me with too much care. “I’ll just stay here for a while… I don’t want Lucy to feel alone here” I gazed on his reddish eyes and gazed back to Lucy’s. “I’ll be staying with you then.” He come closer to me and placed his right arms on my shoulder and pulled me to his chest.

“I’m just here Skye.” He calmly stated. “I know.” I answered.

After one hour of standing and staring on Lucy’s grave we decided to leave. We hopped into Dace’s car and he starts his engines and hit the road.

On our way home, I just stay quiet and looked at the view. I can’t hold it so I just let it flow, dropping tears again. I wiped it as soon as another tear falls but it’s just, I can’t take it. I could still remember how happy we were together, when she was still alive. I sobbed, cried so much, releasing so much pain. Dace’s pulled the car and stayed on the side of the road and trying to come me down.

“Hey Smith, stop crying… please…” Rubbing my back with his hand. He unlock his seatbelt and wrap me with his arms. “WHY?! WHY GOD!? WHY TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME?!!!!” I shouted and asked God about this freakin’ situation I am in.

“Smith…” Dace’s voice started to fade just like whispering slowly to the wind. I opened up the car’s door and ignored him. Along the highway I shouted and shouted until Dace’s came out and tried to stop me with his comforting word “Smith, everything will be okay.” He said.

I stopped from shouting and faced with him with my eyes full of anger “YOU! You’re one of the reason why she passed away! How dare you Tatum!” Coming to him punching his chest like a little child punching his daddy’s chest because he didn’t bought an ice cream for her. Dace’s tried to wrap me on his arms but he failed as I slapped him hard on his right cheek. As his white cheek turn to red, forming a hand on it, he checked it with his hand. He didn’t even say a word.

“How dare you too God! What have I done that made you gave me lots of miseries huh?!!!” questioning God caused by agony. Looking at the cars passing by on the lower road, I attempt to climb on the side on the road but Dace’s ran after me and pulled me quickly.

“What the hell Skye!? What the hell are you thinking!?” He barked, his eyes full of worries. “Don’t do that?!” He added. “There’s no reason to live at all” I spoke gently, sobbed! He pushed me away from him but his hands on the side of my shoulder. “Seriously?! How about showing me the brave girl I knew, the toughest girl who beat us, the girl who gave me a deadly upper cut huh Skye? How about that?” he roar as he shook my body back and forth. I left hanging and quite. “Look at me?!” He shook me again forcing me to look at him, his eyes. “Hey Smith!” he roared.
