Prologue

//4 YEARS AFTER THE EVENTS OF FAR FROM ORDINARY//

"Oh, darling brother... It's hard to believe that four years have passed since your demise... It was a pity, really, when I first learned of your failure... Of course, Damien was always the weakest and most... disappointing... of the two of us, but to be defeated by his own offspring, nonetheless?" A woman with long, dark brown hair frowned, "It's unacceptable."

"Andria, you don't really believe the rumors, do you? About her gift?" A man sitting next to her asked.

"I'm never one to give in to superstition, but my family has always been full of surprises. She must be handled at once... I don't want her meddling in my business," She growled.

"What do you suggest we do?"

"Michael, send for Hunter," Andria commanded, and the man stood. He left the room and returned moments later, accompanied by a short, brunette girl who appeared to be in her late teens.

"What is it?" Hunter asked.

"I have a job for you, darling. It's very important," Andria replied, smiling at Hunter.

"Don't worry, I won't disappoint you,"

"That's good to hear. I'll send you the details tonight. You leave tomorrow," She explained, "That will be all, Hunter."

Hunter strutted out of the room, and Michael returned to his seat next to Andria.

"Are you sure that putting your full faith in Hunter is intelligent?"

"Michael, I'm simply fighting fire with fire. If you want something done right, you have to take risks. Just know that Hunter is only phase one of my plan."
