2. I Should Know So.

________________________

~1 Year Later~

Finally out of high school and on my own. I'm happily enrolled in college and as I was sitting on my couch, I couldn't help but laugh at the memory I had when I was hiding from Vontae at the little quick shop. That's all a thing in the past.

I wonder how he is? I've still never as much as even said a word to him but I am curious to know what he did with his life a whole year after high school. Was he still involved with the drug game? Or did he branch away from that? Last I had heard he up and moved out of state anyways, so there was really no point to wonder too much about him.

As for Bella, she's also in college but is with a new man, which like before, I have no idea who he is. As long as she's happy that's all that's important right?

I had recently got a job. Since I live on my own I have a lot to pay for and while I'm balancing school, a regular job wouldn't work with my hours and help with all my payments. The job I have works well with me. So what was my job?

I was an exotic dancer.

No I don't strip or sleep around, I work at a lounge and give lap dances or I just work a pole. I'm in revealing clothing but enough to keep "my goodies" covered. I can make up to $1000 or even $2000 a night depending on who comes through the lounge. No one knows about my occupation and I want it to remain that way. I plan on quitting once I graduate college but this was a job that gave me fast money and all I had to do was just wrap my body around a pole or dance on someone's lap, talk about easy right?

"Hey Candy." One of my friends said as she walked to the back room.

"Hey Sienna." Candy was my stage name like how Sienna was her stage name. I keep my home life and my job separate.

"How are you?" She asked. She walked over to her locker and pulled out her outfit. We still had plenty of time so we took this time to hang out.

"I'm pretty good. How are you?" Sienna was 2 years older than me and had a child. I'm not sure about any other details regarding her life, but that's what she's shared with me since we've become friends.

"Baby Daddy drama. He's back in jail again." She said with a sigh. I was focused on curling my hair at the mirror by this point.

"Oh really? I'm so sorry about that."

"It's okay. Maybe its best he's not in his child's life you know? But I can't keep doing this. Be happy you're single, unless you do have kids-"

"I don't." I said with a small smile.

"Don't get me wrong, I love my child and all but being a single Mom is tough." I felt bad for her and her child but I do give her props for handling it all on her own.

"No, I understand what you mean." So we continued with small talk and I finished doing my hair and made sure my make up was on point before we were called out to the stage.

I adjusted my bra a little to make sure all the beads were hanging just right and not tangled with each other. I separated a few curls and then it was time for me to walk out on stage. My pink sparkly Steve Madden pumps walking across the stage to the pole. The room was dark aside from the dim stage lights.

"Bust it baby!" One guy called out as I wrapped my body around the pole. I saw the money being thrown onto the stage and couldn't help but smile at the fact tonight was going to be a good night.

"Aye Candy you should come give me a lil' somthin' special." Another guy said as he leaned up onto the stage.

"And what do you want?" I asked as I got down on my hands and knees to his eye level. The dim lights didn't reveal too much of his looks but he did have an enticing voice.
