Tears are words the heart can't say

Y/n Pov:

Scrubbing at the dirt that had clogged up in my little brothers knee, I watch him squirm, hiss and groan every time the anti-bacteria wipes come in contact with his knees.

"OW, that hurt!" He complains as I just smile and sigh at him.
"Im almost done," i say to him wiping of the little amount of dirt that was left on his knee.

Putting the dirty wipe in the bin I watch as Callum quickly runs out the bathroom before I change my mind. Chuckling to myself I walk out the bathroom and walk into my room.

Pausing by the mirror I quickly pull on my grey hoodie which is two sizes too big for me and pull the hood over my head. Looking at the mirror I pick out all the imperfections in my face. My eyes were a light muddy brown, slight bags under my eyes an my body shape was nowhere near small and petite. Sighing I grap my chapstick and press lightly on my lips. I never cared for looks to impress the boys however I was very self-concious when girls make fun of what i look like.

Sighing I grab my f/c hoodie from the rocking chair next to my desk and slowly put it on.

Walking out and going into the kitchen i see my dad making omelette. Cursing everytime he flipped it as the contents of egg hang dangerously on the edge of the saucepan.

Laughing I walk towards him as he pits the falling edge of the omelette back in the saucepan with a fork. "Having a little trouble I see," I say wrapping my arms around his neck and leaning my body onto his back.

"Not everyone can be a great cook, you know," He replies gruffly, a hint of agitation in his voice.

Chuckling you kissed him on the cheek before walking over to the the table to sit down.

"Where's Kian?" I say looking around,
Brows twisted into a frown, lips pouting.

"Oh him?" D/n said "he went out earlier, went of with his 'mates'."
D/n groaned as I sighed. Kian was never good at making friends and was now often ignorant towards me, pretending I'm not his sister and trying to stay distant from you at school.

He used to be a kind brother always taking care of me, always playing with me, and basically make sure I'm safe by him sticking around.

It was on his twelfth birthday that everything changed.

"Y/n! Y/n have you seen my Norwich football the has the logo on it?" Callum said apprehensivly chewing on his finger nails as he looked at me worriedly.

"Oh that football? It's in the lounge."

He looks at me gratefully before running into the lounge as dad laughs at the young kids nervousness.

"That kids full of energy," D/n said laughing his hand layed on his waist which had a sailor moon apron tied to it.

Nodding calmly, you let your mind wander. I always worried that Callum would turn into Kian and be as coldhearted as he is. But dad always said that would never happen as he's too warm hearted but you hesitated on this.

"I'll see you later dad," you say grabbing your bag and walking over to kiss him on the cheek and making your way towards the door.

"Alright take care sweetie." He says smiling brightly, waving at me.

Returning his bright smile I walk out the door feeling the could air flush my cheeks, as the blood in my veins quickly run to my head.

Taking in a deep breath I let all my fears leave me as I pull the hood over my head and start to begin my journey.
