It was a shame really,
               It was a beautiful day....

The clocked seemed to be mocking me, every time I looked up it seemed to barely move. I don't understand math but some how, I ended up in the advanced class, with the smartest kids in school. What a humiliation and complete pain. I gathered my things as the clock slowly edged it's way to 12:00. The teacher dismissed the class a minute or two before the bell rung and everyone rose to their feet and headed to the door, all in unison. The clock stricken noon but the bell was cut off as a screech pierces the air. I whipped my head around in utter confusion as some of my closest friends dropped, screaming in agony. I couldn't move, I couldn't think. It all happened so quickly. After five seconds, nothing moved. I slowly fell to the floor as well, everything went black. I felt so numb

Dead. Dead. Dead.

I jolted upward as I felt something extremely wet and cold splash at my face. I rubbed my eyes and glanced upward. There was a small girl standing over me. She seems to be the one who dropped a bucket of water over me. I scrambled to my feet but once I stood, everything hit me. Everyone had died. All at once. Large tears streamed down my eyes and I turned to the girl, who was actually a lot smaller when standing next to me. I grabbed her shoulder and, choking on tears.
"W-what is this s-some kind of p-prank?!" I demanded, staring into her emotionless face. She snapped her gaze to mine, holding it for a moment before she shivered and glanced around. She suddenly bolted from her chair and ran over to all the students, putting her head to all of their chests. After doing that to all them, she stood back up and slowly turned to me. Her eyes still trying emotionless. She then quickly smiled but shook her head. She smiled.
"Dead" she replied quietly. I shook my head in disbelief. I grabbed her arm and dragged her outside, seeing every other student on the floor
Dead. It continued to ring in my ears as I frantically glanced at each other student. Questions whipped through my head and I looked up as a thought flew in.
Emily. I pulled the unknown girl along with me and I looked through the windows of each classroom. Dead. Dead. DEaD. DEAD! No matter where I looked, there was no sign of any living. I threw open the door to my twin sister's classroom and the girl wiggled her hand free and stood in the doorway. I ignored her and stopped in horror.
There she was. The girl I have spent my entire life with. Dead. I tried to hold back tears but I couldn't hold anything back. I dropped to my knees, blubbering. I carefully picked her up and took off her jacket and wrapped it around myself. The strange girl placed her hand on my shoulder and I leapt forward quickly, forgetting she was there.
"Cmon" she spoke softly. I turned around with my arm covering most of my face as I shook uncontrollably. She tried to soothe me, patting my shoulder awkwardly.
"Seriously, let's go." She removed her hand and headed for the door. I motioned for her to leave me be, slowly pulling Emily closer towards me, with more uncontrollable tears. The girl moaned, sounding aggravated and she slouched against the door frame.
"Oh s-so you now want to show some e-emotions...! W-why is m-my twin dead?!" I glared weak daggers to her but then sighed, hugging Emily's cold body. It no longer had the warmth of life.
And it seems no one else in this school besides me and this odd girl I have never noticed in class before, had the warmth of life within.
