The Beckoning

Cody's pov
I pack my suitcase with Lucina bouncing excitedly on my bed. "Calm down Lucina we will be leaving soon and you will get to be with Jake." I say sending her a playful look. "Oh shut up you stuck up bitch." She says pushing me. "Hey! Lucina Maria Smith you apologise to your big sister right now!" Mom says walking into our room.

"Why should I it's not like she is my real sister. You cheated on dad remember." She says smugly. Tears fill my eyes and mom gives her the famous death glare. "Ok young lady one more outburst from you and your staying here and you will be grounded all summer." Mom says.

"Yeah yeah whatever now lets go." Lucina says grabs my arm digging her nails into me. She drags me down the stairs and out of the house towards the car. "Hey at least let me say goodbye to our parents." I snap.

"Shut up and take me to Jake and Caleb's house." She says climbing into the car. I sigh and climb into the car and We drive off. After about 15 minutes of driving we reach Caleb and Jake's house.

"Jakey!" Lucina smiles happily running into his arms. "Cody!" Caleb says climbing into the car. He wraps his arms around me and he kisses me. "Ugh can't you stop being a whore for two seconds?" Lucina says with disgust in her voice.

"Ok you know what. You have two seconds to lose the attitude and get in the car or I'm leaving you here." I snap. She glares at me and gets in the car while Caleb and Jake laugh. Soon we drive off towards the cabin.

4 hour drive later

After 4 hours of driving and abuse from Lucina later we arrive at Bloomwood cabin. It's been in our family for generations and we have been every summer since we were kids. "Ok so Jake and I are going to my room to have some fun." She says winking.

"Oh no you don't. You're helping us take this stuff into the house." I snap. "Ugh why are you a stuck up bitch." She growls walking up to me. "Take your shit inside." I growl back. "You know what. I promised mom I'd behave but. No one in the family loves you. Your the different child all cause mom cheated on dad. We all hate you and your breaking this family apart!" She says smirking at me.

"Babe.. what the fuck?" Jake says. "Lucina you went too far." Caleb snaps. Tears fill my eyes and I look at the floor. "Cody..? I..I didn't mean didn't mean to." She says. I don't respond. Tears keep running down my face and landing on the floor.

"Honey..?" Caleb says walking over to me. I walk away from him. He comes after me and I start running. "Cody come back!" He shouts running after me. I don't stop I just keep running.

After about 10 minutes of running I end up at the end of the garden by a river an old willow tree and a rocky bridge that leads to an abandoned shack in the middle of the woods. I slump against the willow tree and start sobbing. Why was she so mean to me all the time. I've done nothing but love her.

Unknown pov

A pretty young girl sat there crying. Oh she is perfect. Just looking at her sends shivers down my spine. I must have her.. but first I need to eliminate the competition.

Caleb's pov

"There. All the stuff is in the house. I think we should go find find Cody now." I snap glaring at Lucina who hasn't stopped crying since Cody ran away. "Um Caleb who is that outside by the car?" Jake asks running to the window. I run outside with Jake and Lucina behind me.

We see an oldish looking man with a knife slashing the tires. "Excuse me that's our car and this is private property. Who are you?" Lucina asks walking up to him. He turns around looking at her with almost a hungry look on his face. Then he scowls at her. "You are no where near as pretty and delicate as the other girl." He says before turning around and running away.

"Other girl? Did he mean Cody?" I ask shuddering. "I don't know but we should really find her." Jake says. Suddenly a loud scream fills the air. "Caleb help!" Cody screams from a distance.
