mating ball??

"yeah, I have a plan." Maylen said with a smirk and a head tilt.

"is it a good plan?" I asked hoping for a yes to come out of her mouth.

"I have a plan." she stated again.

"ill take that as a no." she smiled. I nodded at her to continue.

"we're gonna get into the mating ball and find us our mate." she said over excitedly.

"you know I can't go. I don't have the money for a dress. or for shoes. well for anything for it." I said. she gave a knowing look.

"what if......wait! we can ask my sister. she went three years in a row. maybe you can borrow one of hers." she spoke in a victorious tone.

"even if she would let me my dad won't let me go." I pointed out.

"just come stay with me this weekend. then we can ride together" she shrugged. as she finished her sentence dad yelled that May had to go home, before she did tho we asked if I could stay at her house the coming weekend. he of course said yes. it was Wednesday, three more days. 

after Maylen left I went back up the stairs to my bedroom. its decorated in tans, golds, grays, and black. I grabbed a pair of black shorts and a white nike sports bra, and went to take a long waited shower. I walked into my bathroom that was connected to my room and turned on the water to heat up. while I waited I looked in the mirror. I had long unruly light brown hair, sky blue eyes, my skin was by no means perfect, my cheeks have a constant red tint to them, and I have one faint scar the goes from my hair line down the side of my face that ends at the base of my neck. I smiled looking at my bracesed teeth. after looking at myself I peeled my dirty clothes off throwing them into the hamper. I showered, got dressed, and went to bed.

   I woke up the next morning to my phone telling me to get up. yay! school. I got out of bed brushed my teeth, washed my face, and did my makeup before walking out of my bathroom. Grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and a crop top that said "beach please". grabbing my book bag I walked down the stairs grabbed an apple and walked out the door. I stopped at May's house and we made our way to school.

"she said you could wear her black dress." May said breaking the silence. 

"great! what are you wearing? how are we doing our hair? how are we getting there?" I spoke quick. 

"short red dress. updos, duhhhh. my brothers going too so we'll ride with him." she answered all of my questions as we walked into the school.
