As the land sang with the tune of fallen raindrops which fell upon the thirsty greenery of the forest, a dark figure darted through the rainy haze. In panicked movements, they fled unmercilessly, moonlight casting on the brown fabric of their cloak.
An echoed cry of an infant was audible from beneath the cloak of the figure. "Hush now my love.." The voice of a woman rang out from beneath the hood as she arrived at a clearing. Rain beat down harshly on the unnamed figure, before her stood a quaint white house, the flickering of candlelight was visible from the window to the right of the brown-red door.
"My children...I'm so very sorry." The woman removed her hood to reveal her perked, tan ears and her elegantly long blonde hair. Beneath her long black lashes lay two emeralds in which shone brightly against her tan skin. "Please find it in your heart to forgive me one day."
Pulling the two helpless babies from beneath her cloak, she rested them down upon the steps of the covered porch. With a final effort to protect her children, she peered behind her, hoping the danger was far enough behind her to safely leave her children alone. The blonde softly placed kisses on the top of each child's head, pounding harshly on the door, before fleeing the scene.
As the land sang with the tune of fallen raindrops, as did the children's cries to feel their mothers embrace once more.
Inside of the home, the blood curdling cries of the infants could be heard. This distressed crying set off the maternal instincts of one fair skinned red head of the home, whom made a race to the door. Upon swinging open the door she found herself met by the piercing squeals. The woman peered around for a moment to see whether their guardian was still around, who left them here?
Her yellow eyes scanned about the scenery around them, but was taken aback by what she had indeed found. The sight appalled her, a pack of rabid dogs lingered and gnawed at the body of a cloaked figure who lay unmoving and bloody upon the mud.
Hurriedly the red head took the two inside of her cozy home.
"Don't worry loves...you're safe here"
