I sat in my room my ribs sore from being kicked repeatedly by Vernon, Petunia and Dudley Dursley. Everything ached. The last beating was by far the worst I've ever had as they beat me till I was black and blue. I laid back and Stared at the clock seeing as it was 23:58 only two minutes until my 16th birthday. When the clock struck midnight I felt an overwhelming pain take over my body. My eyes burned and my teeth ached. My skin felt like it was on fire. I struggled to keep from blacking out but somehow I managed. I cried out in pain. Thankfully I didn't wake anyone. Finally after the pain subsided I rose from my bed and walked over to the mirror in the corner of the room. I gasped when I saw my eyes were glowing red. I was taller and more muscular and I can see without my glasses too. My skin was much paler, the bruises had all healed, my hair was different it was still black but it was slightly curlier and instead of raven black it was brown and black mixed together. I nearly fell back in shock when I had fangs.
"what the bloody hell happened?" I whispered to myself.
Suddenly there was a tapping at my window. I turned and saw an owl I didn't recognize. I opened the window and reached the bars that the Dursley's put on to take the letter from the owl.
"I'm sorry I don't have any treats for you." I apologised and rubbed the dark brown owls feathers gently. It flew away with a screech.
