Chapter 2 - Melting and Falling

"You--" I grabbed Alex's license "I refuse to believe this shit!" I put my hands on my mouth "Oh my god, I said a bad word, oh my god." Alex got the license and put it back in his wallet.

"Believe it, darling." He said slightly smiling

"Why are you smiling? This is not a laughing matter! We have the same name! Out of all the names in the world, your parents had to choose Alex!" I was freaking out I mean come on we have the same name, last name too, oh my god we might be... My eyes were a size of a golf ball right now I'm pretty sure. "You, you don't think we're -"

"We're what?"

"Related?"

He looked at me like I'm an idiot "I'm pretty sure we're not related because if we were we would know that already don't we?" He chuckled

"Stop laughing you-" I was thinking of a good word to describe him without saying a bad word "You- you- NAME STEALER!"

He looked at me like I was crazy and he burst out of laughing "Name stealer?" He just continued laughing

"Stop laughing it's not funny." I told him

"You're pretty crazy, do you know that?" He told me while touching his stomach

"Ugh!" I slapped him playfully

"No, no, I like crazy." He winked

"So basically you're saying you like me?" Wait are we flirting?

"Hmm...” Alex tapped his fingers on his chin "Why don't we go to a counselor or something to discuss this situation or whatever." quickly changing the subject.

I was sitting at a very uncomfortable red couch at the office of the head councilor of the camp and next to me is the no other than the guy who stole my name, yes. I scoffed.

"You know, I really didn't steal your name. It's not my fault, I was born with it." Alex said as if reading my mind and he chuckled. How can he laugh about this?! This is not a laughing matter! We have the same name for God's sake! I rolled my eyes

"Alex Reed?" A woman with button up white shirt and a black pencil skirt that stopped on the middle of her knees, she had strawberry blonde hair, with the wrinkles on her eyes I bet she’s about 40 or something, nevertheless, she was holding a brown folder with her.

"Yes?" Alex and I both said at the same time and I glared at him and he just returned a wink

"I believe there's a misunderstanding here," She continued while seating at a chair in front of us "Both of you are new here, welcome to the camp by the way, and since your new and you both applied on the line that," Me and Alex number two looked at each other.

"I'm sorry Miss Pet-tte-rum-pe-pe," I continued reading her name on the name plate on the table. How on earth do you pronounce her name?

"Petterumpepper." She snapped

"Well Miss P," I still can't pronounce it "What exactly do you mean by 'on the line'?" I asked her

"On the line," she looked at us both like we were dumb "Isn't that what you kids say these days? Like with your high-tech computers and what not?"

"I think she means online," Alex whispered to me that only I can hear

"Ahh," I said nodding

"Anyway, since you both applied on the line," I looked at Alex sharing the same smile "There was a bit of a mix up since you both have same name," She got the papers out of the brown folder. "So yes Alex Reed," she kept on reading, "See here is the funny thing," she pointed at us
