I played it cool, like I pretended that I wasn't really looking (or staring) at him in the first place and was searching for our car (which is true), and turned my head to the opposite side.

I sighed in relief... that was close. Why was I even staring at him in the first place?

I just shook my head; God, I think those girls are getting into me, I hope next time they won't sit behind us.

"Mika!" A pair of arms wrapped themselves around my right arm, the owner clinging tightly like a koala.

"What is it, Era?" I asked her, adjusting my glasses once again that almost slid off because of Era kept bouncing up and down while still holding my arm.

"Our professor asked me to do this, so come help me so I could finish this immediately and have a date with my boyfriend." She said showing me the papers she was holding.

"Your Samuel can wait, so do that on you own." I told her, and looked at her with a deadpan expression. Why isn't she letting go of me?

"Mikaaaa~" She whined, shaking my arm.

"Eraaaaa~" I imitated her squeaky voice, and held her hand to shake it like she did with mine.

"I hate you, you meanie!" She pouted and I laughed, "Do you think this is funny?" She crossed her arms across her chest and pouted even more.

"Come on, that's an easy task. You just have the parish priest sign it to acknowledge the mass we will have this Friday." I told her, "I'll go with you if you want to, I'm heading to the church, anyways."

"You're going to read there again?" Era asked me as we walked together down the hallway.

"Yeah, it's quiet and peaceful there, so I like reading there." I told her and she nodded.

The church wasn't that far from our school, in fact it was just next to it. So whenever there was no mass in the church, I stay there during my vacant time to read my books, and rest.

"By the way, you mentioned that there was a handsome altar server in the church you attend to every Sunday, what does he look like?" Era suddenly asked, and I frowned, "Why are you frowning?" She asked confused with my reaction.

"Nothing." I answered.

"Really? It's nothing?" She asked eyeing me suspiciously.

"Yeah, it's nothing." I answered her once again, "Why are you curious about him?" I asked her.

"Nothing, you said you always see him every Sunday, right?" I nodded at her, "Then I'm just thinking of different possibilities."

"What possibilities are you talking about?" I looked at her confused, what is even running in this girl's mind right now?

"It's a secret." She winked at me and I rolled my eyes, and just let her be; Era and her fantasies.

"Do you think Joshua would play at the mass?"
"Of course, he's the best you know."
"Ah, we get to hear him sing again."
"Yeah, he's really good right. He could easily win a singing contest if he'll join one."

"Joshua?" I looked at Era and she looked at me as if I grew two heads, "What?"

"You don't know him?" She asked in disbelief, and she looked at me as if I offended the whole world for being clueless on who this 'Joshua' is.
