The forgotten

Chapter 1

Selena

The sun had cleared under the horizon while the wind stiffened around the town. People had been trying to advertise to me, quickly trying to shut one up, one of them had followed me slowly throughout the crowd, they sound of metal hitting stone had caught my attention.

The blade was caught next to my throat, the blade had seemed almost sharp enough to cut through the person's flesh in a single swipe, a single move could easily shred through me.

the blade was slowly lifted when the person had realized who I was, the voice was rugged while their expression held flat. "You have to stop going through here, If someone find's our entrance we could all be marked for death, are you stupid?"

"apparently." I replied in an annoyed tone, just to piss him off

"You really never learn do you? last time someone had entered here your mother hadn't come back, you really need to learn to list-"

"Don't you ever talk about my mother, she is dead not just to you, but to me aswel, so never mention my mother ever again or i'll shove that dagger up your-"

"Damn, your full of yourself today aren't you?"

"screw off Serena, this isn't your problem, he mentioned our mother, how else do you expect me to act, she is dead to everyone, and especially this family."

"Calm down Alexis"

"How about you find someone else to bother? Your not the one she used as bait"

I could tell just from her breathing that I had said something I will most likely regret. The small sound of a single drop pierced my ear's as I had realized she had started to cry. I'm so pathetic, Why can't I ever be honest without effecting someone else negatively? I slowly lowered the dagger, but held it readily encase he tries anything else. The dagger was pointed directly at him so he could see that it was readily.

"Serena, please don't get all sad like you always do, I'm trying to protect us, not have us end up like John..."

"What about John? he's dead, mother's dead, father's dead, your my last remaining relative, and your threatening the person who had saved me over some stupid mention of our mother!? You need to stop getting into this stuff, I don't want to lose you too, and i certainly don't want to lose him, he's the only person I can truly fall back on if anything goes wrong on your next mission."

"Your not going to lose me, beside's, it's his corpse over mine..."

"That's what I'm talking about, you never listen, and you never care for anyone, and anything except us two, you wouldn't even care if someone saved you!" Her voice cut off sharp, but her words were cold.

the simple thought had repeated its'self continuous now "If you only knew what happened" but the hatred and sorrow filled the atmosphere and clouded the thought away as if it was just a simple bug caught by a plan't.

The door had finally shut as we realized that the guy was still next to us, but he had slowly lowered his weapon in pursue of the thought that I could easily get him, his only leverage was luck, just plain luck. The word's were almost inspiring as I realized how futile his attempt was, hopefully he noticed aswel, or he would be in a rough awakening.
