Backstory
London, 1834. When Matthew Edwards is forced to search a new job after the farm he worked on burns down, he is hopeless. Due to the fact he immigrated from Austria, he has great difficulty finding a new place to work. His English isn't great, he doesn't have any special qualities, he's just doomed to starve to death on a cold winter's night. That is, untill he finds an object on the street. A pocketwatch, nothing out of the ordinary, exept the strange, green glow coming from the stone on its front. However, he soon finds out the watch is cursed, a few days after he opens it. A strange woman, looking old yet young, beautiful yet ugly, warns him. If he won't return the watch to its rightful owner in three weeks, he will lose his humanity, his mortality. At first, he decides to keep the watch, liking the idea of immortality. When he slowly starts to turn into a monster, however, he starts to think he might want to search the owner. Sadly, he doesn't reach him in time, causing Matthew to remain a monster for all time to come.
