"Come and get it Molly!"

"Fabian, come on, please give it to me."

"Don't give it to her," Gideon cried, laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes.

The young boy continued to wave Molly's teddy bear above his head, laughing hysterically for a few moments. Although the grin quickly disappeared from his face, when he realized he was levitating above the ground.

"Molly," Fabian said, a bit of worry arising in his tone of voice. "Here you go, my sweet, adorable sister. Here's your bear."

Fabians disappearing grin found its way onto Molly's lips in a smirk, and the boy continued to rise into the air.

"Molly, please let me down, I'm sorry." The panic in his voice was more noticeable than ever as he reached the height of the ceiling.

"Ok," Molly laughed.

And the boy plummeted down to the ground, landing in a heap on the ground.

Molly picked up her bear, that lay within a foot from the pile of flesh and bone that was her brother Fabian.

Her other brother, Gideon who watched the scene dumbfounded, managed to help Fabian to his feet.

Brushing off his clothes, Fabian spoke. "In two days time, you'll be going to Hogwarts and won't be allowed to use magic outside of school."

"But meanwhile, I will use all of the magic I want, and you can't stop me."

Just then, someone came into the kitchen right behind Molly and said. "He may not be able to, but I can."

It was the children's mother. A short, slender woman with blazing red hair to match each of her children.

This wiped the grin off of Molly's face in an instant. Her mother was a very loving and caring lady, but she could also be very stern.

"I heard a lot of commotion from upstairs, what has been going on down here?"

Molly started to answer, "Uhh... I kind of..."

But Fabian was quicker to get his words out. "We were just playing and I tripped and fell. That was probably the commotion you heard mother."

Molly turned around to look at Fabian, who winked at her, and she turned back around to face her mother.

"Hmm, is this what really happened Molly?" Her mother asked, glaring down on her children.

Before she could answer, a tall, rather lean man joined them in kitchen. He shared the same ginger hair as his wife and children.

"What's the matter, is something wrong Jade?"

"Charles, did you hear a loud bang from upstairs?"

Molly's father thought for a moment before saying, "No, why?" But the look on his face told the kids that he had heard the noise, but was indeed sparing them from a punishment.

Jade glared at her husband suspiciously, turned away, and walked out of the kitchen. After she was gone the kids thanked their dad who acted like he didn't do anything. A moment later, he too walked out of the room to go to work.

The kids enjoyed the rest of their day. Talking about what they were going to do when they got back to Hogwarts, and what house they thought Molly was to be sorted into. Fabian who was going into his 3rd year at Hogwarts, and Gideon who was going into his 2nd year told Molly all about the school.

How long she had dreamed of going. Oh how many stories she heard from her brothers about the adventures, the potions, their friends, and above all; learning magic.

The conversation continued until the evening when the whole family gathered round for dinner. Tonight's meal contained beef casserole with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes.

"Tomorrow," started Jade, "I will take you all to Diagon Alley. I waited too long this year, I would have liked to have taken you last week but your father couldn't get off work, and wanted to come."

This came as no surprise to anyone. Their father, Charles Prewett loved his family but he also loved his work. He was the Head of the Department of Magical Transportation, and he rarely took off.

"Father, what house do you think I will be put into." Molly asked.

"Well Molly," started Charles, "It doesn't really matter what house you are put in to. I was put into Ravenclaw, and your mother here was a Hufflepuff. And as for your brothers, they're both Gryffindor. So..."

"I bet she'll be in Slytherin." Interrupted Gideon. The brothers cracked up laughing, and then in unison, started hissing at Molly.

"Fabian and Gideon Prewett," barked their mother. "Do not interrupt your father and no hissing at your sister. Is that understood?"

The boys looked at each other, and then at their mother, said ok, and cleared their places with a sunken look in their faces.

When the boys went up to their rooms Molly's father continued. "As I was saying, your house doesn't matter, your mother and I will love you no matter what."

"But father, if you were to choose my house, where would you put me?"

Charles sat back in his seat and took a long pause. "Hm... well, you have the loyalty and honesty of a Hufflepuff, the wit of a Ravenclaw, even the ambition of a Slytherin."

Molly shuddered at the thought of being in Slytherin.

Charles leaned over to whisper in his daughter's ear and said softly. "And I know damn well that the bang I heard was not your brother tripping. So you've definitely got the nerve of a Gryffindor."

Charles went back to his original position in his chair, and Molly smiled at her father's words. Remembering her sticking up for herself against Fabian.

A little while later, Molly went up to bed. Unable to keep her mind off of tomorrow's trip to Diagon Alley, and going to Hogwarts in less than two days time.
