The Calling

I wondered for hours on end, 'till I couldn't even see it had become so dark. I have seen this path many times before but never gathered the courage to venture forward. But tonight, as I heard someone calling my name, almost a whisper but loud enough to draw my attention, I yearned to explore the path I had not yet traught. I was slightly frightened by the new place and the dark didn't help much at all. I kept hearing strange noises I hadn't heard before and I became paranoid and jumped at the slightest movement and faintest of sounds. The darkness made me oblivious to my surroundings, I could only barely make out the outlines of the trees around me, and I kept tripping over free-ranged roots that scattered the Earth's floor. I slowed my pace to a stop, miserably lost, I leaned against a tree and slid down the rough bark of the tree 'till I was sitting on the dew covered brush underneath me. I brought my knees to my chest, placed my elbows on my knees, and rested my face in the palm of my hands. My heart was pounding and the tears flowed uncontrollably. I don't know  why I was crying, all I know is I couldn't stop. After a while I had this feeling inside of me telling me everything would be alright. I eventually stopped crying, closed my eyes, and allowed sleep to wash over me.
I was woken up many hours later, by.... something.... at the time I wasn't aware of what had woke me. When i opened my eyes and they adjusted to the bright morning light a saw before me a man. A very Handsome man with beautiful wavy red hair that cascaded down to his hips like a stream of flames that never burnt out. Oh and his eyes, he had eyes so deep, and invigorating, I felt as if they could capture my soul if I stared long enough, and maybe he could. I was very nervous about the unexpected appearance of the young man, but when I looked at him he smiled that smile.... the smile that will burn in my memory forever.... a smile that warmed my heart and made me feel safe, and made me feel something I had never felt before, and i couldn'texplain it for the life of me. He outstretched his hand to help me up, I took it.... when are fingers touched I felt a tingle down my spine, I was immediately entranced as if he had put a spell on me and I felt flustered, I felt my face heat up. We walked together hand in hand for a while, we talked about everything, from our favorite colour to our past experiences. And he smiled, his beautiful smile. I felt a pull, a connection, and I couldn't look away from his eyes, and in them I saw a gleam, more of a spark, and only then did i realize what i had been feeling. I could only describe it as love, and I knew then that I wouldn't leave his side, and with knowing that I was with him I instantly felt at ease and all my worries melted away.....I just only hoped he felt the same for me.

I really hoped you enjoyed my little heartfelt story. If you did please leave me a comment of encouragement so I know to write more often.
