Natalie Jackson and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Chapter 2: The Night Before

It had been a week since Natalie had gotten the letter inviting her to Hogwarts. By now the whole camp didn't just ignore her, they completely avoided her. Like she was some nasty disease that they were going to catch if they got to close. She realized they were scared of her. Natalie could tell that even Sally acted a little different around her. She seemed to be acting shy, and did more of her own thing.

All this bothered Natalie because she hadn't changed. She was still the same person, she had just discovered a new part of herself. It was like if you lose a limb and suddenly everybody avoids you, even though you are still the same person inside.

"I don't want to go" Natalie sat down at her spot at the pavilion next to her sister. She was supposed to leave the next day for London.

"But you have to. You need to learn how to control your powers" Sally stopped and sat down on the sand.

Natalie sat down beside her "But I don't want to leave you, and mom and dad."

"They'll be school holidays, though right?"

"Yeah of course"

"Then we'll see you then"

"But you'll be alone. Everyone hates us here." Natalie took a big slurp of her coke.

"I'm not staying here" Sally said with a mischievous smile

"Wait, What? Where are you going?"

"New Rome, of course"

"Wait. So, you're going to school in New Rome!?" Natalie almost dropped her coke on the ground from surprise.

"Yep"

"But what about Mom and Dad?"

"They're going to stay here and help run Camp with Chiron"

"Oh" Natalie stared out at the sparkling summer sea in front of her. She couldn't believe all the changes that were now happening. Herself going to a wizarding school in England, Sally going to school in New Rome, and her parents living by themselves in their cabin.

"I'm going to bed. See you in the morning." Natalie got up and walked away, leaving Natalie alone with her thoughts.
