Papyrus and Frisk were talking, and seemed to go silent the moment Sans entered the room. The two began to walk, Papyrus holding the door open for Sans and Frisk to walk through.

"You look amazing, Sans!" Frisk smiled, excitement obvious in their voice.

"Indeed, I'm so happy for you brother." Papyrus snivelled, quickly clearing his throat. "There shall be no tears!" He declared. "No spoiler tears!"

The trio walked to Grillby's, the restaurant being only a few minutes away from their house. Frisk and Papyrus entered first, taking a seat in a booth closest to the bar, waiting for Grillby to walk over to "take their order."

Sans stood outside, thinking about Papyrus' words. He was nervous, his hands were shaking-no, he just needed to breathe and only focus on Grillby. He loved that monster with all his soul, and all he wanted was to be with him for the rest of his life. Sans began to wonder if anything would change if they got married.

Frisk waved at Sans, signaling him to come in. Andre was behind the bar, sitting on a stool, Liam next to him with a remote in hand. The small skeleton opened the door, the bell above ringing like it would every time he entered the place. As he strode inside, he saw Grillby's smile and all his fears vanished in an instant.

Liam pressed play on the jukebox thingy, a song beginning to play.

"What's all this?" Grillby asked, a flustered laugh accompanying his voice.

Sans looked up at the love of his life, wanting to cry tears of joy. He let out a scoff and shrugged. "I've been working hard to get some extra cash, I'm sure you noticed. But paying my tab was not all I had planned." Sans' smile somehow stretched further across his face, his eyes only emphasizing his present emotions.

Before Grillby had a chance to ask, his eyes drifted downward as he watched Sans slowly fall down on one knee, propped firmly in place as he dug in his pocket. He pulled out a fuzzy black box, the dark color popping against his pure white bones. He used his thumb to crack open the box, hinges doing the rest. Sans watched Grillby's eyes dart from the small box, to his face, and back to the box again. The skeleton let out a soft chuckle, mentally preparing himself to speak once more. He raised his arms, light now reflecting off the shiny golden ring sitting inside.

For a moment, Grillby could see his own reflection, though his attention shifted when Sans began to speak.

"Grillbz, I've known you for a long time, and if it weren't for that tab, I don't think we would have been as close as we are now. I finally paid my tab 'cause I wanted to pay you back for all you've done for me. I'm glad I had a chance to find someone incredible like you, someone who is so caring and loves people unconditionally. So... will you make me the luckiest monster in the entire world? Grillby, will you marry me?"

And so the skeleton knelt on the floor, his left leg propped to keep himself steady. His arms were raised high, shaky hands holding onto the small box. The tiny object remained open, a beautiful ring shining inside, Sans' smile just as bright. He looked past the box in hand, up at Grillby, who began to leak tears from his eyes. His smile widened, tears hitting the floor as joy overflowed his soul. Grillby whispered once, so Sans could hear.

"Yes-Sans, of course I will!"

Sans reached forward, taking Grillby's hand with his own, gently sliding a ring onto his finger. He looked up at Grillby who was crying tears of joy. Before he knew it, the fiery monster yanked him into the air, and hugged him tight. Sans closed his eyes as Grillby spun in circles, repeating the same words over and over.

"Yes! Yes yes yes yes!" He gradually got louder until he stopped and kissed him passionately.

Sans melted into his warmth, not even paying attention to the cheers around them. Up until now, neither were focused on their surroundings. The entire bar was watching the scene unfold, 'aw's and cheers passing around as Grillby calmed. The skeleton cupped his Fiance's cheek and sang the last line of the song playing, the fire elemental joining in as well.

"For I can't help but falling in love with you."

Grillby squeezed him tighter, laughing. Sans did the same, crying and laughing at the same time. (That thing you do when you're so happy you implode on yourself? Yeah that thing) The two stayed in each other's arms for a while, only releasing one another when Grillby had to continue working.

Sans sat in the booth with Papyrus and Frisk, both who wore happy grins with teary eyes. The older skelton wiped his own eyes with a lovesick expression. He began to laugh, turning his attention to his brother and Frisk. "You both were right. Thank you so much."

Papyrus nodded. "Of course we were right! You're always welcome brother, Frisk and I will always help you!"

"Though Sans, why did you pick that song?" Frisk asked.

Sans simply smiled wider. "Do you remember when the three of us sang that when I was a little drunk? That's how everyone found out Grillby and I started dating about a year ago. The song has always meant something to both of us since."

Frisk understood instantly, smiling at the memory. That was a fun time. "It was a great choice." Frisk looked over at Grillby who was smiling and laughing as he wrote down people's orders.

Sans followed their gaze and got lost staring at him. I really love him. Sans thought watching him work. I really am the luckiest monster in the entire world.

"Congratulations!" Someone would say, and Grillbz would just blush and thank them.
