"Liz get up we can't miss our first day of school, we've already missed the first week because we couldn't get a plane." Liz didn't reply so I pushed her out of bed and threw her clothes at her telling her to get dressed. Since I was already dressed I decided to make a quick breakfast for both of us. I pulled a pan out of a box and turned on the stove getting ready to fry two eggs. Since we just moved in there were a bunch of boxes everywhere, and we really only unpacked our bed sheets and clothes to get ready for the week.

After I was done frying the eggs I called Liz into the kitchen, "Eggs are ready. Eat fast because we have to leave in 5 minutes if we want to get to school in time." I always thought that Liz's style fit her really well. She is average height, she has her red hair in a lazy half up half down bun that comes down to her shoulders. She was dressed in worn out black high top converse and ripped boyfriend jeans, and her shirt was a baggy plain orange sweater. Most people don't always pair us as friends, because we are so different. she has a eccentric personality with a hint of care and she has a more laid back style. While I have a quite, but unpredictable personality, and more dressy style. For our first day of school I decided to wear a plain black skirt, with a horizontal pink, black, white, and grey long sleeved top, and black small healed boots that come up to my knee. Then my plain brown hair was left down with a small amount of curls.

After Liz and I were finished with our eggs we put our plates in the sink, grabbed our bags and left for school. When we were getting close to the school Liz and I noticed something that put a small problem in our way. Liz broke the silence saying "Sydney how the hell are we supposed to make it up these stairs in time for school?" I looked at her and agreed saying, "I have no idea, but we need to make it fast school starts in 15 minutes and we still need to meet with Lord Death to get our classes." I paused for a minute thinking about what to do, then it hit me. While securing my bag around my shoulder I said, "Race me, I know you'll never refuse a challenge, and if you beat me I'll buy you lunch." Liz looked at me then back at the stairs then said, "Deal! on 3, 1...2...3...GO!"

We both started to sprint up the stairs, with Liz being the weapon you would think I had an advantage, but you would be way wrong. When I do my training she always tags along even if she has other things to do, but since I forgot my money at home I had no choice but to win. After I was about half way up the stairs I was a little behind Liz so I decided to jump onto the railing so I would have a smooth surface to run on. Liz tried to do the same thing, but tripped on the step letting me take the lead. Once I reached the top of the stairs I waited for Liz at the top, but I didn't have to wait that long since Liz was incredibly fast.

Once Liz made it to the top I noticed her forehead was bleeding badly from where she hit her head on the steps. I immediately ran over to her saying, "Omg Liz are you ok, that's definitely going to need stitches." She brushed my hands away saying, "Seriously Sydney I've had worse, being a weapon doesn't mean you're exempt from injuries. We get hurt sometimes along with meisters." I continued examining her cut and guided her over to a bench close to the main door of the  DWMA. I responded caringly, "Yes I know Liz, you could probably argue that you have more scars then me, but you always take the blow for a strike aimed at me. So when I have a chance to patch you up I'll take it. Plus you know I wanted to be a doctor before a meister, so I'm really well versed in simple things like stitching people up." We both laughed and she finally let me stitch up her wound. I pulled out a stitching kit that I always have with me out of my bag, but before starting I warned Liz, "This is probably going to hurt... a lot." Liz just waved it off saying, "I'll be fine." but I could tell she was a little nervous. Liz winced as I started and said, "Aren't we going to be late now." I looked at the time and rolled my eyes, "Its fine its only our first day what can they do?" Liz agreed with me an continued to wince with every stitch.

As I was starting to finish I saw someone walking up the stairs to the school, It didn't look like a student I mentally face palmed myself knowing we were going to get in a crap ton of trouble for being late now. But to Liz and I's astonishment the man just continued to walk past us, till he noticed what I was doing and instantly took interest in us. The man looked at Liz then back to me then back at Liz, and continued to watch me finish stitching the cut close. As I finished knotting the string I looked at Liz and shrugged my shoulders and she just looked back at me with confusion. After I put my things away I looked up at this man and almost screamed when I noticed he had a screw in his head. He seemed to pick up on this and said, "It scares most people, are you new? Because most students don't sit outside the school and stitch up their friends. We have a school nurse you know? Or I could have just done it." I looked at Liz's face and I could already tell that this new school was going to be a trip.
