~ Hi! Welcome to Bus Life. This chapter may be slightly boring, but just bear with me, as all stories need an introduction to let the readers know what's going on. Think of this chapter as and introduction <3 I haven'y planned this story too much, but I have a general idea of what's going to happen ;) Hope you guys enjoy (I say guys, but I literally have only 5 followers lmao) ~

I put my earphones into my ears, press a few buttons on my phone, look out the window, and pretend I'm listening to music. What I'm really doing is eavesdropping on people's conversations.

It's so interesting to hear what people talk about, what I can relate to, and who says what. I listen to people a lot, and know everyone who comes on this bus, so I know pretty much everyone's voice. Some girls gossip, some boys talk about the game they are currently playing on their phones. Some girls talk about their love life (mine is non-existent) and some boys talk about something they saw on Snapchat. Some girls read books, and some boys look out the window.

On the bus, I always, and I repeat, always sit at the front, because at the front there is the only chair in the entire bus that fits only one person. I have no friends, so that seat is perfect for me. Wendia usually sits directly behind me (she just reads, so she's not very interesting), Duncan sits two behind me rows and to the left of the bus, with his mates Alex and Federico. They are probably the most popular boys in my year (year 8), and that, I highly doubt, will ever change.

I am currently on the bus on the way to school, which is always better than the ride home, because it is quieter, people aren't sweaty from P.E, and it's cooler in the mornings than the afternoons. I can't hear many peoples conversations at the moment. Everyone is talking too loud and over the top of each other. Besides, I should probably use this bus ride to study for my HASS exam that is second period.

I turn on my phone, for real this time, and click on JumpSnip, the study tool my teachers pay for us to use to be able to 'study efficiently and quickly, without any distractions'. 'Log in as Emma Taylor?' The phone app asks me. I press the 'Yes, log in' button and my phone slowly loads the study tool app. Bored, I glance behind me, and catch Federico looking at me. He turns away back to his mates and starts chatting again. Weird. He's never ever looked at me before in his entire life; I don't think so, anyway. I look back down at my phone screen, and see that the page is still loading. Stuff this. I'm going to actually listen to some music and look out the window, and try to memorize as much HASS information as possible.

~ The next day ~

It's early morning, and I see my bus pulling into my stop. 638 to Meadville High it says. The doors open, and I approach the vehicle, taking a large step onto the platform of the bus. I give the driver my money, say thank you, and turn to my seat.

My seat.

Is taken...

Uhhh. WHAT?!
