I'm sure anyone who plays Minecraft knows, but one day, Notch, the creator of Minecraft (now, if you didn't know, I'm sorry, but it's undeniable, YOU ARE A NOOB.) was coding the texture of a pig, but something bugged, so... the creeper was born.
So in the alpha version, the creeper was a passive mob, but then Notch decided to make it an official Minecraft mob, giving it a camouflage effect, that sad face, and explosions.
But, if you don't wanna mess around with creepers, tame an ocelot, and it will follow you.
The creeper is catrophobic. (It's not a word, I know.)
