Sonnet ~ The Loss of Love

I was losing it...

Until I met her

I fell apart to a silent darkness- until someone lit a light

She stuck out a hand and pulled me up, she saw the worst of me yet never thought to deter

She was a calming stillness

In a world bound to chaos

She was my consciousness

When my body and mind deteriorated beneath me

She always checked to make sure I was okay

But nobody ever thought to ask her the same question

Soon it was too late. All because I had never taken a moment to say

~A moment to say... Something! Anything! I could've prevented her destruction

But now... I all I can do is call upon her memory when things become painful

Because she is only, but will forever be remembered as, my Angel
