Catchin' up pt.3

I shook my head and giggled to myself. I can't continued to look over at the beautiful horizon that begin to show outside the window I was sitting by.

I heard footsteps hitting against the matte burgundy carpet,it stopped to my table,already know who it is.

"Can I sit right here?" He asked.

I turned my head and looked at him. "Aye its a free country,you can sit where you wanna sit." He sat down and sighed.

"I've been here before." He mentioned.

"Oh really?"

"Yea,this is where I took Tomica at on our first date." Well,What a coincident?

Instead of sayin' somethin' smart I just flashed a closed smile and continue to look out the window.

Once again he start coughin' like a pork chop bone was caught in his throat. This was my 6th time hearing this cough and it began to worry me.

"Are you ok?"

He breathed in. "Yea," He coughed out. "So,What you gettin'?"

"Chicken Salad." He nodded his head and slid the menu I had over to him. "Think Ima get the steak again." I nodded my head. I couldn't feel anymore awkward than this.

"Who watchin' Evie and Esiah?" I asked since he wouldn't let me ask anything earlier.

"With Jayden."

Sooner or later the waiter came with my chicken salad which was pretty damn big but I ain't complaining because I'm eatin' for two. I soon as I said thank you,I immediately dug in that shit.

"Sir would you like something to drink or to order?" He asked Eric.

"Uh,Yea lemme get the ribeye steak with fries and a baked potato with a sprite."

The waiter nodded his head and went back into the kitchen.

The awkward tension stayed between us as forks,spoons,and glasses clank together. I was in the middle of eatin' a big piece of my salad and it end up fallin' into my lap.

I groaned and rolled my eyes. "Eric stop lookin' at me."

He chuckled. "My bad,ya salad just look like it's the bomb over there."

"It is,want some?" He shook his head turning down my generous offer. "Nah,I'm good. Besides that salad looks big enough to fill you and the baby up." I held my hand to my mouth as I laughed.

"Hell I thought the same thing." The waiter came out with Eric's food and drink. Before he left us to enjoy our food,we thanked him for his services.

"Aye you wanna go somewhere after this?"

"Where?" I asked swallowing my food.

"Anyplace we can find."

"Ok."

Eazy's P.O.V.

"Aye let's get off at this park. It's got a lake,birds,and a fountain." Lauren pointed at the park where kids were laughing and playing with the birds flyin' around in the blue sky.

"Ok." Honestly I didn't mind. It's the least I could do after everything we've been arguing 'bout. To be honest,I don't wanna bring up no more,for her well being.

We start to walk over there,just strolling through the trees,that were waving softly with the wind.

I looked at Lauren. She's been mostly calm and collected during our lil adventures. If anything why she's been mostly calm is cause of this. Nature.

I mean there's so much you have to be grateful 'bout and nature is one of them. The sun,the sky,the clouds,the trees,etc.

When we got near the park,it was like my chest was tightened up on me. I started coughing like mad crazy,sound like I had a alcoholic cough.

Lauren stopped walking. "Ok that's enough. Eric what's wrong? That's my 11th time hearing that bad ass cough."

I raised my eyebrow at her. "You been keep in' count?"

She scoffed waving her hand at me. "That ain't the subject right now,why you coughin' like you been smokin' cigarettes all your life?"

I shrugged my shoulders and sat down on the bench that was close to us,so that I could catch my breath.

"I don't know. I've been stuck with this shit since last week." I admitted.

"Why you didn't go to the doctor?"

I kissed my teeth. Here we go with the doctor shit. The only time people ever go to doctors is to hear bad news plus the don't what the fuck they talkin' 'bout anyways. "Man,Lauren yo ass know I rarely fuck with them doctors like that. Shidd I probably got a common cold anyways."

She sat beside me. "Well with that cough,you need to fuck with them like that. Doctors are 2nd to God to know what the hell is wrong with you?" She sassed with an attitude,putting a hand on my shoulder. "Please? If not for me do it for Tomica? The kids?"

Ya know she did have a point right there but I still wasn't goin'. Never have never will. "Yea," I nodded my head. "C'mon let's head to the swings."

We walked over to the swings and sat down at the 2nd pairs of swing that's was more higher but could help people like Lauren's height.

She sat down and sighed. I slowly walked behind her gettin' ready to push her.

She put her hand on my stomach,stopping me from coming any closer to her. "So we really ain't gon talk 'bout this,like seriously? We just gon act like shit didn't go down between us."

I put my head down,thinking if I really wanted to go through this with her. "You sure you wanna do this?"

She nodded her head,"There's some things I would like to talk to you about."

I do wanna clear the air and get on track of what's really happening because I need to know if she really did sleep with Kaleb and most of all I wanna be in this baby life,if I'm the last reason why she/he is in Lauren stomach.

I sighed and sat down in the other swing beside her. "Aight,let's talk."
