When Mikasa was nine years old her parents were murdered and Eren saved her, his father then took her home saying "Why don't you come home with us?" Unless you have a different Attack On Titan in mind he did not say "Hey, Mikasa? Come home with me to be adopted and become Eren's sister." This never happened.
