I walk over to the sink.
I reach up to open the medicine cabinet.
I pick up the bottle of anti depressants. Out of date.
Huh, I guess I won't be needing a new bottle anyway.
I unscrew the lid.
I wonder who will find me when I'm gone. Maybe no one will find me. Maybe I'll rot here, in this bathroom, on the 14th floor of this building, until I turn to nothing.
I pour the pills out into my hand.
I count them.
Sixteen.
Will that kill me? Maybe I should search it up.
No.
Its enough, I'm sure.
I fill a cup with water.
I look up at the girl infront of me in the mirror.
"Goodbye" I say.
I look down at my clothes.
I'm wearing the jeans I brought for my twenty second birthday, the top I brought in Italy on our holiday, when I was seventeen. The pair of socks with the cats on them that my brother brought for me.
I look at my note once more.
Will my brother cry for me?
I hope so.
I hope I'm missed.
I hope people remember me.
Maybe il get a documentary made about me or a movie, explaining my tragic suicide.
Maybe I'll leave behind a beautifully romantic tragedy, and someone will write about me.
Or maybe I'll just be that girl that you used to know, that killed herself.
I take them.
I swallow them one by one, with each pill, slipping further away from turning back, and dancing closer to death.
It all goes bright.
Then dark.
I can't see.
I'm lost.
I see my life.
I see the time my mum and I were lost in laughter together, on the sofa.
I see the family holidays, and I see my mum and dad happy together.
I see my little brother playing football at his school, he scores a goal and everyone claps and cheers for him. Then it goes dark again.
All the moments fade away.
The people I once knew, the life I once had, fades away into the nothingness.
I am gone now.
I have left my life behind.
I am a body on the tiles of a bathroom floor.
I am the girl that nobody 'had any idea was suicidal' or 'capable of this'.
I am gone.

A/N: this is my first story and I don't know how it's going to go but this was the first part, so it was only a short intro, other parts will be a lot longer. This story is based upon suicide, and I appreciate that this is a sensitive subject, and people are affected by it daily. I wanted to write about what happens to us after we're gone and create a story that can be different and beautiful in its own way. Thank you readers <3
