Once upon a time, there was born a special girl. The little baby was born with beautiful white wings. She was special, and her parents loved her.

As the little girl grew, she started to learn how to fly. She loved it and never wanted to do anything else. She didn't realize she was different and she was always very happy.

The girl had always been homeschooled, but when she was old enough to go to high-school, she decided that she didn't want to be homeschooled anymore and decided that she wanted to go to a normal school and applied to the closest school she could find.

When her first school day came by, she was very exited and when she took her first steps into the big building, she immediately loved it. She had never seen anything like this before and was curious about the rest of the day.
She started to walk to her locker to put her stuff in it when she saw that everyone was looking at her. They were all whispering and pointing at her wings, it made her feel uncomfortable. She bowed her head down in shame and quickly walked the last few steps to her locker. She tried to act like everything was normal and tried to ignore all the kids who were staring at her.

The first few days went by and the kids had stopped whispering behind her back. Instead, they confronted her and called her a weirdo.
One day, when she came home from school, she didn't want to talk to her parents and just went straight to her room. She locked her door and started crying. She hated school, she hated the children, and most of all, she hated her wings. She didn't want to be different anymore. She just wanted to make friends and fit in with the rest. So she made a promise to herself. She would never fly again and she would hide her wings.

The next day at school, the poor girl had her wings hanging down and had covered them with a cardigan. And after few weeks the children had all forgotten about her wings and were leaving her alone. But somehow, this didn't made her feel better. She hated to have to hide her wings and needed to pretend to be someone she was not, just so she could fit in. She was miserable and went from the happy little girl who she used to be, to the sad teenager in just a few months.

One day, when she was sick of pretending to be normal, she left her sweatshirt and cardigans at home. She was nervous, but still determined to not hide her wings. She walked into the school, proudly, with her chin up, but within a few minutes, all the children were bullying her again. She felt so miserable and went into the bathroom to hide. She sat down against the wall and started to cry. Why did she have to be different? She didn't ask for this! Suddenly the bathroom door opened and a boy walks in. He looks a bit shy and mumbles: "I like your wings..."
The girl looked up in surprise. She had never heard anyone say that to her before.
"They're terrible, I hate them!" The girl replies.
The boy go sits next to her and they start a conversation and at some point, the boy promises that he'll take her to school the next day. He walks out of the bathroom with her and ignores all the people staring at them. The girl, however, looks at the ground and starts walking faster. The boy quickly grabs her hand and slows her down. He proudly walks next to her as all the other children whisper at them. But he doesn't care. He drives her home and waves her goodbye.

The next day, the girl is exited for the boy to pick her up for school and puts on her most beautiful shirt and cardigan. She makes sure that the wings are invisible.
When the doorbell rings, she quickly answers it and stares into the face of the boy, who is smiling at her. But than she sees that he is wearing wings. She tells him to take them of, because she doesn't want him to be bullied too. But instead, the boy commands her to take of her cardigan and show her wings as well. She hesitantly takes of her cardigan and the boy's mouth forms a big smile. He drives her to school and they chat for a bit till they arrive at school.
When they walk into the halls together, everyone is stunned by the view of the boy and the girl, and everyone starts pointing at them. The girl feels that she's about to cry and tries to run away. But the boy grabs her wrist and pulls her in for a kiss. All the kids around them start to whisper an point at them even more.
The boy pulls back as he says to the girl: "I don't care what they all say about you, I don't care that they don't like you, I think your wings are beautiful, I think you are beautiful, I love you and no matter what, I will always be on your side. No matter what everyone else says, you are amazing I want you to never forget that, and I want you to never, ever, hide your beautiful wings again!"
