Shit never really did go right for Darian.
He was looking up at the midnight sky. The right side of his forehead was a crimson red as more blood seeped out of his wound. He touched it gently, yet that didn't make it sting any less.He had felt as though he had been hit by a bus full of bricks, and the more time he forced himself to not collapse, the bigger the pain grew.He looked around. His vision was faded, but he managed to spot two blobs, one significantly bigger and taller than the other.
"what the fuck..." He felt light headed and propped himself up on the wheel of what looked to be like Chevy Impala. "Chevy Impala...?" he thought to himself. He never cared for cars, so why was he thinking about this stupid car he was propped up against? It was his mind, avoiding the realization of the current situation he was in. It was then he noticed he was in the parking lot, his thoughts began to circulate, but he couldn't quite put them together. It was like whenever he woke up from a nap ever since he was a kid, he would have a hard time- he stopped himself in his train of thought and looked over at the smaller blob, coming into focus. Miguel. And as the bigger blob began to come into focus, Darian felt an overwhelming lust for vengeance, or rather justice.
Or rather, it was stupidity made to look like justice.
And then he saw Jose towering over Miguel, menacingly. Jose's smile pierced him in an entirety, he felt it in his consciousness, he felt it in his soul, and with every second that passed his hate for him only grew. His legs were sore as if had been hit by a quarterback and thrown down to the concrete, yet somehow, he began to slowly get up, and while doing so, he didn't look Nowhere else but at Jose. Nowhere else, but at Jose.
Once he was fully standing, he limped over to Miguel, somehow instantly forgetting of not only Jose's presence, but the presence of everything else in the world. Miguel. Miguel. Miguel. It wasn't obsession he thought to himself, it was determination, determination to help his brother to the end, even despite everything they had went through in the past weeks. Wanting not to show weakness, He began to straighten his back as he got closer and closer to Miguel. When he finally reached him, he had looked even worse than before he got up, in his effort to be a "big brother."
"Gheez dude," He said to Miguel with a comedic tone, trying to ease the situation, "How do we always get into these situations?"
Miguel said nothing, but he pointed behind Darian, and as Darian turned around to face his opponent, just as if someone had been blinking, it was over in an instant, with Darian back on the ground, looking at the sky.
This time though, his whole forehead was drowned with blood, and Jose quickly blocked the sight of the few stars he could see, looking down on him with that same soul piercing smile.
