"Text him the clinic's as well as the apartment's address", he explained.

"Why are you helping me?", I almost whispered.

"You're like my own beti. Today, if I don't help you I don't think I will ever be able to forgive myself. Your husband is in town and you've a chance to escape from that monster. Inshallah if God wills everything will be fine. Have faith in him and inform your husband", he said as his eyes remained trained on the road.

"But if Samay finds out... he.. he will kill you", I reasoned.

"If he kills me, I will be happy enough that I helped you but if I don't help you now this guilt will never let me sleep peacefully", he said with a sad smile.

"Uncle...", I trailed.

"Don't waste time and text him these address", he said giving me two cards.

I quickly typed both the address and typed further.

Aarav, it's me Shreya. The first is the clinic's address where I am going for my ultrasound today and the second is where Samay has kidnapped me. I am alive Aarav and waiting for you please save me.

-S.K.S.

I hit the send button and gave Raheem uncle his phone back. I hoped the initials would be enough for Aarav to recognise it's me.

Third Pov

Aarav was drinking coffee as he remembered all the moments he had spent with Shreya. How could God be so cruel? First when he married her, she didn't accept him. When they became friends, she met with an accident leading to a ten months comatose condition. When he finally got her back, he got to know about her pregnancy complications. When he didn't want a baby, she was persistent to have one. When she finally fell in love with him, he got to know that her parents were not her biological parents. When he thought he would hide her parents reality from her, she somehow managed to find out the truth and when he asked her to stay in her room, she ran away. Ran away so far that no one would bring her back now.

He had given up the desire to live. He was a walking corpse. He remembered Shreya's words, "Don't love me Aarav! I will end up pulling you in this darkness. You're a pure soul and I am a fucked up soul. You deserve a girl who will brighten your world. A girl like me will just turn your world upside down"

"I don't mind baby. I hadn't decided to fall in love with you. It just happened. Fucked up soul or not I will love you till death does us apart. You need to know baby that it's you and it will always be you. Just be with me till my last breath because I can't imagine my life without you"

"Then I hope that I die first because with you there is me, without you there is no me"

His eyes teared up again at the memory. He wanted both of them to grow old together and then die together, in each other's arms but fate always had different plans for him and Shreya.

He missed her to the extent that at times it became hard to breathe. He cried himself to sleep at night. He drunk. He smoke. He did everything to forget the hollowness in his life. His parents were so broken to see him in such a state that they decided to go back to Delhi. It had been a week since they moved in to their old apartment.

Shweta had thought moving back to Delhi would make a difference in Aarav's life but she and Manish were proved wrong. Aarav would lock himself in his room grieving about Shreya go out in pubs trying to forget her.

Aarav's thoughts were broken with the buzz sound of his phone. In the past one month, no one had dared to call him on his phone or even drop a single text. With shivering hands, he unlocked his phone and read the text which was from an unknown number.
