This is the new version of Jayfeather. Since I actually wasn't so satisfied earlier with my drawing of Jayfeather and Firestar, I made a new one when Jayfeather was still a kit, Jaykit. Anyone remember this in "The Sight"?
I recommend you read the bottom black bar with white words in it if you want to know the scene. It was Jaykit's last words to Leafpool in Chapter 3. "I hate being blind. I wish I was never born!" Was the quote I always treasured from Jayfeather.
Why? Because in the end, he finds himself that he was one of the Three, and is destined to save the clans from the Dark Forest. Well, a message to you, Jayfeather, You wish you were never born, but the prophecy sure wants you to be born.
And blindness? He may fail to be good as a warrior, but he became a Medicine Cat, following his role and destiny as one. He was useful, snappy, and grumpy. Oh, how I love Jayfeather these days!
