In today's society, there's not a single place you can go to avoid hate. It's all around us. Whether it be hate on gender, race, religion, sexuality, it's inevitable, especially with all of the social media and ways we can contact each other. Bullying can be verbal, physical, mental. It can be done
online, in person, spread by rumors, passed in notes. No matter what we do, there seems to be no way to end it, unless we all stick together.
Be that one person who stands up for the lonely kid that's being made fun of daily. Be the one to stop someone when they're being mean on social media. Be the person to end the violence, because bullying is not okay. Whether you're the bully or the bystander, be the one to make a change and make a difference.
Chances are, everyone has been bullied at some point, even you. So why sit there and let someone else take that place, knowing how awful it is? Can we all just stop the hate?
Don't be the one to let someone feel alone, feel sad, be depressed, be afraid. Be the hand to help pick someone up when they're down, don't be the one to knock them down when they're already at a low. Be the good in a world full of evil. Be the kindness that's just enough to keep someone going when they feel like giving up.
When you hear that rumor in the hallway, don't be the one to pass it on to the next person. When you see the negative post on Instagram, don't be the one to like it and comment more negative things. When you see someone being hit in the hallway, don't be the one to shrug it off and keep going. Be the one to make a difference and stop the hate.
Hate is in our schools, our communities, our cities, even in our government, so why are we adding on to a never ending problem when we could just stop it. Stop the hate, stop the violence, stop the discrimination, stop the prejudice, stop the problem. Society is already tough.
There are already people struggling with depression, anxiety, body image issues, low or lack of self esteem, no confidence in themselves, so why would you want to make them feel worse and struggle even more. When we say these negative things we make things worse.
When we make a negative comment about the way someone looks, when we call each other stupid, when we call women whores, when we discriminate against someone because of their race, when we hate on someone because of they're sexuality, when we abuse someone because of they're religion, when we tear others down, we are only making matter worse. Making these negative comments don't make us feel better about ourselves, they just make others feel worse about themselves.
Let's stop the bullying now. No more hate, if we stand together we can end it, all of it. #LaterHaters.
