       Qrow sighed as he listened to his sister rant about the mission they had just been assigned by the Chief. They were to infiltrate Beacon, the prestigious hunters academy. 

            He was leaving the tribe, something he had dreamed about for years. He had never been sure about the morals, but he was not stupid enough to say so out loud. 

          Qrow glanced out the window of the aircraft that was brining them to Beacon. The Emerald Forest fluttered in the distance. Just then, a robust blond boy staggered past them. His face was green and he was clutching his stomach do Qrow assumed he was airsick. (Is that even a word?) 

          The boy ran straight into Raven. "Hey, watch were you're going!" She snapped. 

           "Sorry." The boy opened his mouth to continue, but then a voice said over the speakers "We are about to land. Please leave all your luggage aboard the ship." Qrow turned to say something to Raven, but she wasn't there.

        Suddenly, someone ran straight into him. The person, who was obviously a girl, was short with a white cloak hiding her from view. "Sorry!" She squeaked before running off again. For some reason white rose petals floated through the air.

          The next day, after the stress of sleeping in the same room with all the other initiates (he didn't sleep a wink) and Ozpin's grueling "welcome speech", Qrow found himself outside on a cliff over looking the Emerald Forest.

           The headmaster of Beacon, Professor Ozpin, announced "Everyone line up on the launch pads please. You will need your landing strategy ready." Qrow smirked, this would be easy. But then Ozpin just had to ruin the mood by saying that the first one you meet eye contact with on the ground will be your partner. For the next four years.

       But Qrow had lost Raven on the ship! It's not that Qrow was shy, it was just that he would need to be on Raven's team for them to be able to carry out their mission.

          Qrow so lost in his own thoughts that he didn't realize that it was his turn until until he was launched  into the air. Good thing he could fly.

          He just let himself fall until right before he hit the trees. Then he shifted into his avian form, and glided to the ground before shifting back. Arrow then proceeded to run through the dense forest, searching for his twin. But he froze when he heard a noise behind him.

      He slowly turned around, and his eyes locked with the silver eyes of a girl with a  white cloak.
