Chapter 37

Well it didn't seem that bad of a deal. He'd already fed her and Isbal had also given her a 'feast' just a few seconds ago. What the hell was that all about anyway? I could still feel him close by, watching. Damn God was getting on my last damn nerve. 

"You can take whatever you need," I answered while reaching out a wrist. He just raised an eyebrow at me before looking at the people standing too close. 

When he released his power over this pocket dimension the creatures surrounding us were frightened and hurried on their way. Once they were mostly alone, Dimitri brought the entire group towards a tent close to the portal entrance. Cece pranced behind us with the Heathen in her mouth. It was disturbing. She seemed way too happy with her food. No judging on my part but she could've chosen something less creepy as fuck. Just saying. To each their own though. 

Oh my god. My song was playing. I didn't even realize that these people would listen to this kind of music especially in such a dreadful place. Didn't they think this was too different to the surrounding horror fest? I was expecting creepy carnival music. 

It was really difficult not to let myself get wrapped up in the beat. One thing that I absolutely enjoyed was dancing. Probably one of the most normal things about me. Regardless of my tries to stop from dancing, my hips still had a slight swing to it. Inside of the tent was some sort of DJ playing music. This would appear to be a sort of club area. It was too different from the haunted theme they had going on outside. 

People swung from large swings from the top of the tent. There were shifted Lions, Leopards, Rats, and a few Tigers that were prowling the outskirts of where Supernaturals were dancing. I felt the magic in the air which stopped me slightly but I continued walking while testing it. 

There it was again. How was I able to feed on the lust? I should just ask if Dimitri knows. 

"Uh, so," I began as I made my way to Dimitri's side, "do you perhaps know why I can now feed on lust and not just torturing people? Seems like a nice added bonus that came over me after that whole ordeal."

Dimitri glanced at me briefly before answering, "It is quite possible that it has something to do with them being completely different. One brings pain and the other pleasure. Maybe it is a sort of balance within yourself in order to control it."

Made sense. Huh... Dimitri was actually smart? Fuck. Now I had to start listening to what he said more seriously. 

HA!? What the hell is with these freaks playing really good music?! I'm just too flabbergasted at this point. Dimitri raised an eyebrow at my fish out of water act I was performing. Nope, I wasn't on the ground. Anyways we finally found a hallway that led to a creepy ass dark room. Slithering noises came from inside and I just pretended like that was someone's penis. Clearly one of the guys had a penis that made noise. I was going with it. 

Oh look there's a light. Who the hell is breathing on my neck? 

"Who the fuck just licked me?!"

My shout echoed in the room. It had seemed a small room before.. why did it have a big echo? Hmm? I can't hear the sound of music anymore, nor can I see the way back. 

Someone chuckled and I was close to panicking because no one else seemed to answer or respond. There seemed to be only one person here. 

"Who are you?"

"Pretty Hybrid, your friend must've meant so much to you," a whisper came from my right but something trailed a finger down my left arm. 

"You were," he paused as I heard a slurping noise as if he was savoring his words or me, "delicious. I enjoyed it the most when you brought pain on everyone within this City. Especially him."

"Him," I questioned as I tried to keep the guy from probably killing me. It was too dark. There was no way for me to accurately hurt him within this darkness. 

I heard the hissing again before a sharp pain registered and REAL darkness consumed me. Or maybe it was better to say unawareness?

I'm really close to the end. Actually I think there will be a few more chapters left. I really enjoyed this chapter to be honest. lol.
