It was saturday, the next day, and Ethan hadn't slept one bit. It felt like his brain had worked all night, thinking of every possible way Grayson could have gotten those marks on his body. He walked up from his bed and into the livingroom to see Grayson sleeping on the couch. Both his back and thighs were covered with clothes this time and even though Ethan's curiousness on the marks was killing him, he let Grayson sleep in peace without touching him. He didn't want to ask Grayson directly about them either, because he knew he'd lie.

They had never kept any secrets from each other until now, and Ethan felt hurt of some sort knowing Grayson was doing something he wasn't aware of. A wave of anger suddenly passed through him, but it calmed down shortly. I will find out.

Ethan made breakfast for the two of them, eating alone by the kitchen table and waiting for Grayson to wake up. On saturdays they used to explore in nature and maybe sit by the bonfire at night if the weather still was warm. Ethan always looked forward to those moments, spending time with Grayson in nature. He was thinking of what they could cook on the bonfire tonight when Grayson woke up.

"Morning, E."

"Morning, Gray."

Grayson walked into the bathroom and came back to the kitchen, taking a seat at the kitchen table in front of Ethan.

"I'm so excited for today's trip, Gray."

"Oh."

"What?"

Ethan stared at Grayson who looked down at his food, playing with it with his fork.

"I can't today Ethan, i promised a friend to visit him."

"Oh..."

Ethan swallowed his lump in his throat.

"Then maybe we could do just the bonfire at night and skip the re-"

"I can't Ethan, I'm sorry. Maybe next weekend tho."

Grayson got up and took his plate to his room. Ethan could feel the tension in the air that surrounded Grayson and he knew something was wrong. Grayson had never turned down his company before and Ethan's heart started beating faster and faster. He was getting angry, but he didn't want to show it. He felt like he had to punch something, so he threw a quick punch to the kitchen wall while putting his dishes in the sink.

What, what could be wrong? Did he find Ethan's company boring? How could he want to spend time with a fake friend, rather than his twin brother, the person that loved him and knew him the best on this planet? Ethan felt like his head was going to explode. Maybe he was overreacting, but he knew his twin brother too well and could easily sense when something was wrong in his heart or mind.

Ethan knew he would find out his secret sooner or later, but he didn't know it would be sooner than he thought.
