Chapter 46 (It's Complicated)

JULIE'S POV

"Julie, get ready later ha? Mag-s'shopping tayo." Tita Rose said. Kausap ko siya ngayon sa kabilang linya.

"Yes, tita." I said then I hanged up. Nandito ako sa office and as usual, back to work again.

"Julie, can I come to you to the mall later? With your tita?" Sabi sakin ni Rita.

"Sure. I'll text my tita later." Sabi ko naman. Rita de Guzman is my friend here at Canada. Well, she's a half-Canadian and half-Filipino but she lives here in Canada kaya naman more on English siya. Nakilala ko siya dito sa company namin. Magka-trabaho kasi kami. Ang tanging alam lang niya na tagalog word is "Tita", "Tito", "Ate", "Kuya", and "Mahal Kita." Natutunan niya yun sakin, of course I taught her. She is kind, pretty sure. Kaya nga naging kaibigan ko siya eh. Aside from beauty, she is kind and good friend. And I also treat her as my sister too, just like Bea and Louise.

"Thank you Julie." She said as she hugged me.

"No problem." I said and I hugged her back.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Come in." I said as I ended our friendly hug.

"Babe!" Sabi ko kay Lucho at niyakap siya. Well, he hugged me back.

"Can I talk to you?" Sabi niya pagkatapos niyang kumalas sa pagkakayakap namin at tinignan akong seryoso.

"Uhh Julie, Lucho? I better go outside first." Sabi ni Rita. Tumango naman ako kaya naman tumalikod na siya then she closed the door.

"Now Julie, tell me. Who's Elmo?" Nagulat naman ako sa tanong niya. "Elmo Magalona?" Paninigurado ko at tumango naman siya.

"Ahh. He's my close friend. Muntik ko na nga siyang sagutin eh. But don't worry, past is past." Ngumiti ako at hinalikan siya sa pisngi.

"Julie, can you promise me that you will always love me?" Tanong niya sakin. Yes, I love him but.. feeling ko mas komportable pa din ako kay Elmo. Alam kong weird pero miski naman ako naguguluhan din eh. Almost 1 year pa lang kaming nagkaka-sama ni Elmo but I know I'm comfortable being with him. Ng dahil sa tanong ni Lucho eh naalala ko naman yung sinabi ko kay Elmo sa last date namin.

"I will miss you Moe. I love you."

Arggghhh! Why? Bakit hanggang ngayon si Elmo parin ang nasa isip ko? Almost 6 years na rin akong nasa Canada and 4 years na kami ni Lucho pero bakit... bakit parang si Elmo pa rin?

"Hey." Bumalik na ako sa katinuan ang I found myself looking at the ceiling.

"Oh sorry Lucho. Oo naman, mahal kita." Sabi ko then I smiled bitterly.

"Good." He said and hugged me tightly. "You know what Julie? I feel like I'm the happiest person in the whole world! Mahal na mahal kita Julie, always remember that." Sabi niya habang magkayakap parin kami.

*SCREECCCHHH*

"Ma'am, Ms. Rosanna is waiting at the ground floor." Sabi nung secretary ko. "Sorry for the disturb ma'am Julie and sir Lucho." Tumingin ako kay Lucho na naka-kunot ang noo.

"No, no. It's okay. Tell my auntie that I will go downstairs. Just wait." Tumango naman yung secretary ko at lumabas na siya.

"Babe, sorry to say but aalis kami ni tita ngayon. I know you have a meeting today." Sabi ko kay Lucho.

"Oo nga pala." Sabi niya.

"Sige babe, I better go na. Bye babe." Sabi ko then I kissed him on his cheek.
