Chapter 19

Jack's POV

I woke up this morning took a bath, I the put on my clothes, I put on my sneakers and took my bag my bag, I went to check on my mom who had arrived yesterday, she's back in town but is still drinking, {Jack's mom in my story is called Kelly)

K:Kelly, Jack :J

J:hey mom! mom?
(Jack is knocking on his mother's room door)
K: ( Kelly opens the door) what? I'm trying to sleep.
J:I was just making sure you were alive
K:I'm sorry sweetie, it was a late night . my head is throbbing
J:I would appreciate it if you didn't bring the party home. And I'm pretty sure the neighbors would appreciate it too.
K:it wasn't a party, it was just one guy, don't be so judgy
J:well, I talked to Roberta at Starbucks and a bartending position open if you want to... get a job.
K:I thought she'll still be pissed from the last time I worked there.
J:I think she's desperate
K:I'll check it out
J:yeah?
K:don't have act so surprised
J:well, I mean... I didn't know how long you were sticking around
K:well, there's back rent due
J:there's back everything mom
K:like I said, I'll check it out

(someone knocking at the door downstairs)

K :who's that?
J:it's Jade.

{Kelly makes a face}
J:easy
{Kelly raises her eyebrows}

J:come in
(Jade opens the door and enters in the kitchen)
Jade :hi Mrs Griffo
(Kelly gets up and leaves the room)
Jack :hey, OK . well we are going to be late. Let's get going.

At school

Isabella's POV

In the hallway

[I:Isabella, J :Jace]

J:Ricardo hasn't said a word to me, every time I try to talk to him he shuts me out. I asked him to go to that pageant through a text.
I:do you still think he's searching for Katherine?
J:I don't know. He's waited for a long time to find out Katherine couldn't care less. I mean, it's gotta hurt, right?
I:yah.

Jade's POV

Jack :we can watch a movie at my place
Jade :with your mum and a six pack?
Jack :you know... you don't really help the situation. You could at least try to be nice.
Jade :oh... I'm sorry, It's hard for me to show kindness to people that hate me. I'm not that evolved.
{Jack raises his head to see Isabella with Jace who were kissing, Jade turns her head and sees them to, and turns her head to look at Jack}
Jade :so, a movie night?
Jack :whatever you want to do it's great with me but I'm late, I gotta go OK?
Jade :OK.

{she moves in for a kiss but he leaves}

At lunch
Jade :J, Isabella :I, Jace :Jc

J:I wanted us to go out today, the two of you, me and Jack
J:I'm not thinking of anything huge, just a dinner at Starbucks maybe a late movie
Jc:you mean like a double date
J:two pair out on a Wednesday night coupled, yeah a double date.
I:do you think that's a good idea?
J:why not? We all haven't gone out together before and I don't want it to be uncomfortable for us. Look at the couple dynamics have changed and there's been a little awkwardness between you,Jack, and me and I just think it's important that we get over it.
I:I don't know
Jc:I think that sounds like a good idea
I:you do
Jc:yeah, just a nice evening with friends. Sounds fun, as in 'fun'
I:a double date it is
J:OK. We'll see you tonight.
I : OK
{Jade stands up and goes to sit with Jack. Isabella looks at Jace }
I: OK

Isabella's POV

After lunch we attended the evening classes before going home. I went home took a bath, put on my clothes and did my homework. I went downstairs when I heard someone knocking. I saw Jace standing on my porch when I opened it.
