Chapter 9

Isabella's POV

I was woken up by loud music, I was in a car and Ricardo was driving, "morning sunshine," he said, "what happened and where are you taking me," I asked, "did you really hit your head that hard," he said, then I remembered the accident last night, "well, where are you taking me, I'm supposed to be at school," I asked
"we are going to Miami to visit an old friend of mine,"he answered
"why are you taking me with you,"I asked again
"because you were so bummed last night and I think you deserve a break,"he said
"you have to take me home right now, aunt Jenna must be worried sick, and Jeremy, Riele, Jade,"I said
"and Jace," he said
"I don't wanna talk about him, much less with you,"I told him
"whatever you say Ma lady, "he said with a smirk on his face.
" I need to tell them I'm okay and my phone is dead can I borrow yours,"I said, "sorry, mine is dead to but don't worry when we get there we'll charge our phones and then inform them," he said
"you know I have a life, so next time you want to go to a road trip you don't invite me."I said
"come on, live a little, you only live once and besides if your worried about school, don't be, you are the smartest person I've ever met, I'm sure you can ace any test without reading,"he said to me
"I am smart, but not that smart and besides don't you go to school?"I asked
"I'm home schooled,so no big harm done, the fun thing about it is that there's no such thing as detention or attendance records,"he said
"still you missing classes is not great,"I said
"you know what, I think I'll tell my dad let me transfer to your school, I can be the new hotie, I'm 100 %sure all girls will be drulling when they see me, I can join the football team and even become captain,"he said
"I don't know if Jade will like to see other girls around you, she'll kill of them,"I said and chuckled a bit
"oh, didn't princess barbie tell you that we broke up,"he said
"you broke up? Why? "I asked
" it wasn't working out between us so I had to let her down slow,"he said

The car was filled with silence for like 5 minutes before he said, "Are you hungry, I can see a restaurant there," "uh, sure,"I said, he parked the car in front of the restaurant, we got out of the car and I just stood there, I wasn't sure if I could trust him completely, what he was doing to me is no big difference than kidnapping.
The smell of the trash can that was out there made me wanna throw up, I just faced down and gathered myself together, when I lifted my head up Ricardo was in front of me, "Are you alright," he asked, "I'm fine," I reply

"I'll go get us some food, you wait here," he said "it's not like I have a choice, sure," I replied. He came out with our food like 3 minutes later. "Hey, are you sure you are okay you look a little pale," he said
"I don't know okay, I'm I gonna be safe with you,"I asked, "yes ," he replied, "can I trust you?"i asked again," come on get in the car,"he said as he opened the door for me. I got in and so did he and then he continued driving.
"so what are we going to do in Miami,"I asked
"we're gonna have some fun,"he answered
"I'm not in the mood for that,"I said
"well you better be, because we are gonna have a lot of fun,"he said
I just sat there and ate my breakfast as he drove the car, we stopped again after 30 minutes.
"we are here,come on let's go "he said helping me out of the car. We walked to the bar and took walked to the counter, this girl came and gave Ricardo a hug and said," you haven't changed a bit you are still sexy," "of course," he replied
He introduced me to her, her name was Bree , he said they were good friends. Then she raised a glass and said, "listen up everybody, here's to the man who broke my heart, crushed my soul, destroyed my life and ruined all the chances of happiness, Ricardo," people cheered as they sipped their drinks.
"Can I get you something to drink," the bar tender tasked
"Yah,I'll have a Root beer ," coming right up
"I'll have what she's having," Ricardo said
The waitress came with our Root beer's and gave them to us,I also gave her my phone so that she could charge it for me . It wasn't like me to get drink alcohol but after what happened I don't know what to do to relax,I mean I can't cry all day.

"You know I still don't get it why he kept it from me?Did he think he could replace her with me ?" I asked, "I don't know it's kind of creepy if you ask me," he replied.
"Let's have fun,shall we?" He said
"Let's," I replied
We stood up and started dancing like crazy,soon everybody In the bar was dancing,I've gotta admit I haven't had this much fun for a long time now and I missed it,I had put all my problems aside and had a little fun.

Jace's POV

Isabella is nowhere to be found, she's didn't come to school today, after school I went to Riele's place and asked for her help to search for her, we looked everywhere, we even got help from Jack, Jade and Tyler.
I called again but it only kept ringing, then it was accepted, "thank goodness Isabella, where are you?" I asked
"I'm fine, don't worry "she replied
" where are you? "I asked again
" I'm with Ricardo in Miami, I'm coming right now and we need to talk,"she said
I was kind of pissed hearing her say she was with Ricardo but after
hearing her last statement I knew it was super  serious.
"Jace, how am I connected to Katherine?"she asked
"I honestly don't know,"I replied
"and I'm supposed to believe that, we'll talk later I've to go,"she said before hanging up

Isabella's POV

After hanging up on Jace, I was headed back inside to get Ricardo to drive us home because it was getting dark but this guy came up to me and drugged me, I lost consciousness in less than a minute.
When I woke up I was tied up to a pole. When I looked around it seemed like I was in a factory , I tried my best and shouted for help but it was all in vain, after about 20 minutes, Ricardo arrived, he was walking towards me, he was coming to get me off the ropes but was hit by a metal bar on his leg by a boy.
"Ricardo, watch out,"that's what I screamed before he was hit but it was too late because he was hit.
The boy kept hitting him, I did my best to untie the ropes and I was successful, I went closer to him and begged him to spare him, he had already taken gasoline and wanted to burn him but I persuaded him not to kill him, "you are lucky your girlfriend was here for the you otherwise you would be burning in hell right now," he said to Ricardo,
"thank you,"I said to him before he went away.
I helped Ricardo up and we went to his car and he drove us home. "you saved my life, thank you, I thought that was going to be the end of me," he said, "you saved my life to, thank you,today was crazy and fun, it didn't end well but we are both alive, we saved each other," I said, "I told you today was gonna be great," he said making me chuckle a little bit
"don't worry I'll pretend I didn't see you smile,"he said with a smirk on his face.
I don't know but my friendship with him was progressing, I hated him for being a Jerk, for trying to get between me and Jace, for breaking up with my friend, for using her and here I am laughing at his jokes.
"hey can I ask you something?"I asked
"sure,"he replied
"don't you miss her, Katherine?"I asked
"I have spent the last year and a half being obsessed with her, If there was a possibility of being with her I would but there isn't, Katherine's long dead,"he said
"who met her first between you and Jace?"I asked
"you better ask Jace that question, he might have a different point of view,"he said
"I'm sorry, you lost her to,"I said
"it's okay,"he said and shot me a smile
We were at home in no time, he walked me to my front porch and we said our good night's, before I opened the door he gave me a peck on the cheek then walked to his car, he then drove away.
I entered the house and rushed upstairs, I took a shower before going to bed, I was exhausted. It had been a long day, I got under my covers and drifted to sleep.
