I sob as I plead for my daughter to stop crying, yelling, and screeching. The snow keeps covering my body and I wonder as I continue sobbing if I'm shivering because of the cold or because of the constant torment that I've been having every night.

"Belle. My precious daughter, Pa's here so please don't cry," I sob as I collapse on my knees and grab the snow within my fist, hoping that it'll ease the pain within my heart.

"It's my fault. I know. I should've not taken you skating. I- I should have played barbies with you near the fireplace instead. Your room's still the same and I've bought a doll house like you wanted. I- I- ", I couldn't manage to finish my sentence as I continued to sob, and the memories of that horrible night started to consume my thoughts.

"Pa?"

I whip around seeing only rows of tombs. I sigh, stand up and wipe away the tears on my face.

"The lake, papa."

My eyes widen in shock, and I look around the graveyard. Again I see no one in the vast graveyard and only rows and columns of tombstones. I shake my head and give a psychopathic laugh. I'm going mad!

I head towards my car and that's when Belle starts repeating, "The lake, papa" over and over. I enter the car and grip the steering wheel. "She's dead. She's dead," I repeat, knowing that my mind is trying to play around with me.

"Stop!" I scream; Belle doesn't stop.

I power the car on and start to head towards the lake and the closer I get, the fadier Belle's voice became. I open the car's door, get out and slam the door shut.

"I'm here!" I scoff, "I'm here, what else do you want!"

I stand still feeling the snow landing on my body, the cold breeze brushing against my face and the silence around the forest that surrounded the frozen lake.

"Papa?"

I freeze as I hear Belle's sweet, angelic voice echoing towards the end of the lake. I see a figure with a white dress standing towards the end of the lake, her dress swaying with the cold, winter wind. Tears begin to form in my eyes, tears of hope and joy.

Without thinking I walk on the frozen lake, the breeze hitting my face as I increase my pace. I stop when I hear the sound of cracking, my eyes falling to the ground. I swallow my saliva as I see the lake making a big crack a few feets where I stood. I look up and Belle isn't where she was before. My eyes widen when the cracking gets intense. I can't move or think properly probably because of the shock that I had walked to the lake unconsciously or because of Belle vanishing once again.

The crack split open and I splash into the water beneath the frozen lake. I gasp due to the coldness of the water and start pushing my hands down and up, hoping that I can get to the surface to take some air.

I was near the surface when I felt something grab my ankle and I try to shake it off, but it's useless. I scream in panic, opening my mouth in the process and that's when I began having trouble to breath. The thing that's grabbing my foot drags me deeper down the lake. A few minutes later I stop struggling and I feel my body become light. My vision starts to blur and all I see is darkness as it takes over my vision.

The last thing I hear is Belle whispering, "I'm here now papa, we'll be together forever."
