                    Hathway Hospital
                          06:23 P.M.

Peter brutally banged the table.
"How come you let him do this," he yelled.

Xander always had an amazing power to remain cool at the toughest situations and to give appropriate replies at the appropriate moments.
He just watched intricately at the copper ring that had been gifted by his mother on his fifth birthday.

"You discovered a cure to AIDS. How could you afford to give the credit to someone else? Calmness cannot solve this." said Peter.

Xander replied,"There is not a better solution."
"File a case!"
"No need."
"Why?"
"I've never cared for whose name goes to the mass. I care that it at least goes."
To this, Peter never found a satisfactory answer.
Silence crept in the hall.
Only the clock raced. It never seemed to stop.

The silence was broken by the door fluttering open. It was Amanda.
She still wore the same white garment, the hospital had provided her. But it was no more pristine. Blood stained on it.
Amanda held a knife. A moderate No. 12 surgical scalpel. Sharp. Crescent shaped at the mouth.

"You've lied to me. You wanted to test your cure on me." yelled Amanda.

"I've never lied to you. I never will." Xander, answered calmly. Peter was trembling with fear. It was not weird to find Xander still keeping his jets cool.

"I can't believe you anymore." replied Amanda.
"You don't have to. Just have faith in yourself." answered Xander.

"I can't stop now. I have to kill you. I've got so much power in me. So much evil dwelling in me."

"Power was never innocent."
And, a smile shined on Xander's face.

The world had never seen such a brief yet true love story.

The world had never seen such a perfect imperfection.
