Blinking, I stepped into the sun.
Not the literal sun, but that's what it felt like. Being trapped under the stage lights, with sweat dripping off your forehead, tears blossoming in your eyes, and the feeling of being completely and utterly someone else. Another being that you bring to life with only words on a paper and a song in your heart.
God, it was the best feeling you could ever imagine.
And I was a part of it.
As I went to hit my high C, I faltered and nearly screamed.
The boy who held my heart, the boy who I lived each day for, was standing in the very same room as I. The boy with the moon and the entire universe in his eyes and soul was smiling up at me from the audience.
After 6 long years, he was here again.
So utterly wrong.
Because he was supposed to be dead.
