General POV

Naghihintay ngayon si Dominique Arilla Reyes sa meeting room ng kanilang paaralan.

Ang Carolinian College , naghihintay nalang ito sa presidente ng paaralan ang kanyang ama. Marami sila sa loob ng kwarto, kasama ang mga board members nila.

Dalawa ang paaralan na kanilang pinapatakbo, ang Carolinian College at ang Carolinian High School Department. May meeting sila ngayon dahil sa pinapatayo nilang Senior High School sa High School Dept.

"Sorry I'm late" Saad ni Mr. Reyes.

Si Mr. Ramon Reyes ang ama ni Dominique, maayos ito ng tindig at maayos ang hubog ng katawan, bata pa ito at ang edad ay nasa 49 anyos. Mataas ang pinag-aralan ng tatay niya, meron na itong Bachelor, Masteral, at Doctoral degree sa secondary education at meron pa itong previous studies sa mga university sa America, nag-aral din siya ng international law sa ibang bansa.

"Let's start" Mr. Reyes said.

Tinumbok naman kaagad ni Mr. Reyes ang pakay niya sa meeting after any introduction.

"So Senior High School is final, we are now Senior High School ready." Mr. Quinto said, the bestfriend of her father. "We have now new buildings, new labs, library, and even enough rooms. Our teachers is highly educated, ano pang kulang natin?"

Natawa ang lahat sa saya ng natamasa ng paaralan but Dominique stayed calm and not overjoyed in what's happening.

"Our teachers is not yet complete" Mr. Reyes said. "We are lacking of teachers that major in in History, or even Social Sciences. Our staff cannot find enough teachers." Mr. Reyes said.

"Can we atleast publicize it it that we are hiring?" Mr. Quinto said.

Bigla namang napatingin ang ama ni Dominique sakanya at tinitigan ito ng mataman at tila mysteryosong nag-isip.

"No need!" Mr. Reyes said. "Dominique I will send you there, you are temporarily gonna be teaching the Senior High School students this school year until we find the proper educators"

"No!" Protesta ni Dominique sa ama. "Alam mong hindi ko specialty ang pagtuturo ng secondary education Dad! Nagtuturo na ako ng College, baka madala ko pa yun don"

"You know what Dominique, you complain too much." Mr. Reyes coldly.

"Because secondary education is not my place. Ayokong magturo ng hard headed teenagers whose world is all about popularity and fame!" Emosyonal na saad ni Dominique.

Ayaw niya naman talagang magturo ng high schoolers, para sakanya ang nandoon ay mga brat, mga spoiled teenagers. Para kasi sakanya mga childish ito, at walang magawa sa buhay.

"Wow Dominique, coming from you? Bakit? Hindi ka ba nag high school dati at ganyan ka nalang makapag react. Try not to bother so much! Ang taas yata ng tingin mo sa sarili mo" Pangaral ng tatay nito sa harapan ng mga board members.

"Ayoko ko lang don, baka hindi ako makapagtimpi at sasabog ako don. Dad, just please put somewhere else but not there." Pakiusap niya sa tatay niya.

"You'll start this June, you have your own office with a proper assistant. I want you there not just because you were teaching but because I want you to report me the condition of the school, on how we could manage proper security of the school." Mr. Reyes said and leave.

Napabuntong hininga siya.

Wala na siyang magagawa kung ganyan ang desisyon ng tatay niya. At the end of the day, naka matter lang naman yun kung gusto niya magpabugbog sa tatay niya or accept the deal para walang away.

Pumunta siya sa opisina niya at napatayo sa bintana. Kinuha niya naman ang sigarilyo at sinindiha ito.

Hinay hinay niya itong hinithit samantalang tinignan ang litato ng babaeng una niyang minahal.

If only you were here, sana hindi ako ganito ngayon. I feel useless without you
