Vala Winston woke up to her blanket being rudely ripped away. She instantly sat up and pulled a knife out from under her pillow.
"Woah woah, no need to be like that, love," she heard a familiar voice. She widened her eyes to see none other than...
"Jack Sparrow?!" she almost yelped. He grinned at her, silver teeth gleaming.
"It's CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, Winnie darling." Val rolled her eyes.
"You know I want to be called Val, mate." Jack shrugged. She pushed the thin blanket away and tucked the knife into her belt. The sounds of glass smashing and pirates shouting obscenities were heard downstairs.
"'ello, Ms. Winnie," she heard Mr. Gibbs say. She moved her head and saw him wave with a smile. She smiled back. Val had always liked Mr. Gibbs.
"Morning, Mr. Gibbs." She cleared her throat at the sight of Jack trying (unsuccessfully) to take one of her small purses of gold. Jack just grinned back at her. "And what do I owe the pleasure of you two..." she hesitated for the right word, "gentlemen?" Jack grinned more. "Uh oh..."
