"Ma I'm going to go play outside for a bit!" 13-year-old Daniel shouts out to his mom. "Okay! Be careful!" His mom shouts back, but it's too late, Daniel is already outside.
'Drip' 'Drip' 'Drip'
The feeling of several droplets on Daniel's head, informs him he better take cover if he doesn't want to get soaked. He's just in luck; however, because not even a yard away is a semi-sturdy, abandoned house.
Running to get to shelter, he makes it just in time before it started to down pour. "What the heck is this place?" Daniel asks himself aloud, confused as to why there's a rocking chair, a weird looking rag doll and shattered glass on the floor. The house seemed to look as if it had caught on fire once with the rocking chair in the middle. The doll is leaning against the rocking chair, and the glass is everywhere.
Daniel wonders how long it would take for the rain to pass, so he sits on the rocking chair waiting.
Three minutes have passed and it's still raining hard. So out of boredom he picks up the rag doll and starts moving it around, twirling and spinning it.
'The doll is hideous looking' Daniel thinks to himself. Turning the doll over he starts to examine the doll closely. However, he doesn't get a chance to examine it closely because he feels a burning sensation on his arm and he yelps in pain, throwing the doll.
There's blood covering his arm it looks to be a bite mark. Daniel scrunches his eyebrows in confusion. "How did I get this? When did I get this? What bit me?" Questions swarm Daniel's mind.
Daniel pauses for a split second then starts to look around. "Where the hell is the doll?" He thinks confused but is filled with fear. What he remembers is that he threw the doll up— wait a minute!
He looks up and there it is. The doll is looking right at him. The doll's head is facing a different direction than the body. The doll is grinning, looking straight at him not moving.
The doll's mouth starts to move and it whispers "You're next." Its screeching voice scaring Daniel out of that house. The sky has cleared, but he doesn't notice or care for that matter until he arrives home, to terrified to eat, talk, or sleep.
The Next Day
The next day Daniel make his way back to the house. He enters and is shocked by what he sees. He looks around and he finds... nothing. The only thing there is the rocking chair and all the shattered glass. He looks up to where he last saw the doll, but all he sees, written in blood, is "You're next." Out of fear, Daniel runs like hell out of the building. Promising that he will never one back.
